I was in my room reading a book when I heard voices downstairs, i wasn't going to go down until I heard that it was Damon and Elena.

"That can't be good" I thought. I went downstairs just in time to hear Damon say
"For a while there, I never thought he'd get over the last one. Nearly destroyed him"

"The last one?" Elena replied

"Yeah Katherine, his girlfriend? Oh, you two haven't had the awkward exes conversation yet."

"Nope".

"Hey Elena what are you doing here" I ask her when I get into the room.

"Well I was just looking for Stefan when i ran into Damon, why didn't either of you tell me you had a brother?" She questioned.

"I guess it slipped my mind" I lied "so um, what were you two talking about?"

"We were just talking about Katherine, you remember her, right Bella?"

"Yes I do, kinda hard to forget her"

"Oh and don't worry Elena, I'm sure that conversation will happen soon enough. Or maybe he didn't want to you because she didn't want you to think he was on the rebound. We all know how these relationships end."

"Damon, I don't think we should be talking about this" I warn.

"You say it like every relationship is doomed to end" Elena says completely ignoring what I just said.

"I'm a fatalist. Hello, Stefan" he says when he feels Stefan presence in the room.

"Elena. I didn't know you were coming over" Stefan says not taking his eyes off of Damon.

"I know. I should have called, I just.." Damon interrupted before she could finish

"Oh, don't be silly. You're welcome any time. isn't she, Stefan, Arabella? you know, I should break out the old family photo albums or some home movies. but....... I have to warn you. he wasn't always such a looker."

"thank you for stopping by, Elena. nice to see you." Stefan comments before Elena has a chance to speak.

"yeah I should probably go. it was nice to meet you Damon." she replies.

"great meeting you, too, Elena"

Elena then walks and stands infront of Stefan but he doesn't look away from Damon "Stefan? Stefan?" Elena says. but he doesn't reply, instead he just moves to the side for her to get past and Elena then leaves the house.

"Great gal. Whoo. She's got spunk. You, on the other hand, look pooped. Did you over-exert yourself today? Let me guess .......hospital." Damon says after Elena's gone.

"Someone had to clean up ur mess" Stefan replys.

"Well, were you successful? Did the powers of persuasion work? Remember, if you don't feed properly, none of those little tricks work right."

"How long was Elena here" Stefan asked me completely ignoring what Damon just said.

"Not long" I say to him.
