3rd person POV

Arabella didn't want to get up. She wanted to stay in bed and let the world pass her by as she wallowed in self pity. But she knew she couldn't do that. So instead she was planning to drink herself away as it was her only other option

She had gotten changed out of her pyjamas and made her way to the living room and went straight to the bourbon. Filling up a glass and drinking it in one go. She got another glass and was about to drink it but heard voices coming from Stefan's room so she decided to go there instead, bringing her glass with her

She also brought the entire bottle

"We're not that desperate, Stefan" she heard Damon argue "The guy tried to barbecue me!"

"Who are we talking about?" She questioned as she walked into Stefan's room and went straight for the bed to sit on it, ignoring the concerned glances from her brothers

"John" Damon answered, causing Arabella to look at him confused

"What about him?"

"Stefan invited him back to Mystic Falls" Arabella looks at her twin annoyed, the downed her drink and started to pour herself another glass "It's his big 'save Elena' move"

"What the fuck, Stefan!"

"Look" Stefan sighed "Bonnie's new witch friend is working with Elijah, so we have to assume that the moonstone was never destroyed. Elena is putting all of her faith into some deal that she made with Elijah to keep everyone safe. I mean, do you trust Elijah?" Arabella rolled her eye and went to say something but Stefan kept talking before she could "I don't trust him. He's an Original, he can't be trusted. It's not like we can just go up and kill him, because apparently, he can't die!"

Arabella looked at her twin offended "So, since I'm an original, that means that I can't be trusted?"

Stefan scoffed "Come on, Bella. You know I didn't mean it like that"

"Then what did you mean, Stefan?"

He sighed "I don't trust him, but I trust you. I've always trusted you, I always will"

"I trust him"

"Bella-"

"No, Stefan" she shook her head "I trust Elijah. I know I shouldn't, I know that I should hate him, I wish I did, but I don't. I don't think I'm capable of hating Elijah, even though I know you want me to"

"I know you and Elijah have a past" Stefan told her "and I don't want you to hate him, I know you can't. I'm just saying that I don't trust him"

"Then trust me"

"Arabella-"

Damon cut him off "Alright enough of this. I don't want to listen to it anymore" Arabella rolled her eyes and drank her third drink of the morning and once again, started to pour herself another drink, the action not going unnoticed by her brothers "I'm still waiting for the part where John Gilbert is the answer"

"He knew about the sacrifice, Isobel told him" Stefan explained "He said he knew of a way to keep Elena safe"

"And how do we do that?" Damon asked as Arabella downed her drink, yet again

"He's not talking. At least not to me anyway"

"Great work, Stefan" Damon patted his back "Top notch. As if I didn't have enough problems"

"Hey, I'm sorry about Rose" Stefan said, symptomatically

"Whatever" he brushed it off "I knew the women for five minutes"
