Chapter 6:The Brute.

Maylin's POV:
"I LOVE HER ALREADY!!" And a middle aged woman walked towards me after screaming those words. She had a sophisticated and elegant walk. You can really see she's from a high family. And when she reached me , she embraced me in a hug and I hugged her back.

Then she said,

"You must be Maylin. I'm Sophia Rockland, Arnold's mother ."and she smiled at me. I looked at her , she had similar features to Arnold with her high cheekbones and her beautiful smile. She really must have been a very beautiful woman.
And she still is.

I smiled at her then a man who looked like he's in his forties came forward and she introduced him,

"Meet my husband , Marcus Rockland. " And he gave out his hand to me. And I looked up at his tall frame , it looked like Arnold is a bit taller than him. I smiled at him and gave him my hand for a handshake too.

"Hello, I'm Maylin." And he smiled back at me and modded then said,

"Thankyou for taking care of my father. You gave him life again , if it weren't for you I dont think if he would be here right now. I'm truly grateful and just know I'm in debt to you." And he hugged me?

I just hugged him back then I said,

"You don't have to give me anything . I'm just happy that he's okay ." And Mrs Rockland said,

"She's such a cutie. I'm going to have fun being with you." I looked at her with a smile. And then a tallish figure came behind them and soon I noticed it's the one I didn't want to see.

"Oh Arnold , your finally done with the call ?" He nodded , then Babu said,

"Arnold if I see you on the phone again. Even once I'll terminate you as the CEO for a week." I don't Know   why but I saw a hint of fear in his eyes. But as fast as it came is fast as it left. Only the few who looked at people closely would notice and im one of them.

He adjusted his collar making him look even better then looked at his grandfather , nodded then his eyes were locked on me. I could feel his eyes boring into me. Making me feel like blushing but I'm not giving in . So I stood my ground, he looked like he wasn't giving up well neither was I . Both of us were engrossed in a stare down which looked like no one was backing down. We continued till I saw him blink .

A smirk came on my lips he followed the action of my lips then looked back at my eyes and rolled his eyes at me . Then his stoic face came down . And he gave me his hand and said,

"I'm Arnold, nice to meet you again Miss Richard." Asshole.

I gave out my hand to him and gave him my sweetest smile to tame his bitter face . Then I said,

"Nice to see you again Mr Rockland." And I fluttered my eyes at him. I don't know why but I like seeing his reaction when he thinks he can intimidate me with his business stare. I'm also a business woman and I know that face very well. I use it on clients who think my sweet attitude is for their advantage.

He nodded and he looked at me a little bit more as we stayed with eye contact . Then he removed his hand from mine and i don't know why but I kinda felt like the warmth from my hand disappeared. I'm being paranoid.

Then Babu said,

"I hope you will treat Maylin with respect like the rest of the family. " He didn't say a word . But looked at his grandfather as if he was crazy but his face came back. And his scowl too  , you can never be amazed on the way a scowl can make a handsome face look so damn ugly. Did I say handsome?

Arnold left the room and Babu shook his head in disappointment. Then said,

"What will I do with that boy, he doesn't want to change." He said it with a sad tone. Then because the air felt tight . I wanted to lift up the mood so I said,
