Eleanor and Caroline went into the kitchen when the men went to the sitting room they were relaxing and discussing the war efforts when a knock came at the door. Ross opened it to see Elizabeth surprised at first, he thought what is she doing here? There was no love lost between his father and her, which in the past made it extremely uncomfortable for her to visit. He brought her into the sitting room and introduced her to Dwight who was surprised to see her here because Ross introduced her as his fiancée, since he knew her to be with Francis's! Doctors' oaths what they were he could not tell Ross. Ross then took her into the kitchen to introduce her to Eleanor and Caroline. Elizabeth looked at Ross and said, "really dear there is no need to introduce me to the help." Caroline and Eleanor exchanged a look, Ross was astonished that she would make such a statement. Caroline said, "I am a Pendvenon, I am no one's servant but I find it extremely boorish of you to make a statement like that!" Elizabeth blushed and said, "well usually only the help is in the kitchen!" Eleanor said "on the contrary I like to cook therefore I am in the kitchen. I prepare Joshua's meals because I ensure they are healthy for him." Elizabeth looked at Ross "darling can we please go to the parlor?"
Ross led her out turning to mouth he was sorry to the other two women.

Caroline and Eleanor finished setting the table and placing the food. Caroline went in and said "since I am considered a lowly servant dinner is served. Dwight gave her a questioning look which she returned with the 'I'll tell you later look'.
When they were all seated, Elizabeth saw Eleanor sit down she said "excuse me but since Ross and I will be getting married, I will be mistress of the house. I would prefer those servants not be present at our table!" Joshua and Ross went to say something but before they could, Eleanor got up from the table and went out the back door. Caroline threw her napkin down following her, which had Dwight excusing himself to go after Caroline. Joshua looked at her and said, "Eleanor is a guest in MY house, which you are not a part of YET and it is my deepest wish you never be, if you don't like the people, I want at my table then leave!" Ross said "Father"! Joshua looked at him and said, "not only will Eleanor get my shares, the CEO position, I will make her my sole beneficiary if you don't come to your senses". Ross exclaimed, "Fine father do whatever you want, you always do anyway." Ross looked at Elizabeth "come on Elizabeth." He led her outside then he asked her "what is the matter with you treating people like that?" She looked up at him fluttering her eyes she said, "I didn't mean anything by it you know how I was brought up, to be a proper lady it is extremely improper to have your help eating with you." Ross had to acknowledge she had a point. Elizabeth said, "what did your father mean by saying he was going to make her CEO giving her his shares?" Ross explained, what his father proposed for the company. He grabbed her hand and said, "he is going to give me Nampara, you know I always wanted to live here?" She said, "yes but once we are Lord and Lady Poldark we will live in London as our status demands." He said, "no Elizabeth we will live here on Nampara how else will we survive?" Well, with your families money," Elizabeth questioned? "That is also my father's to do with as he sees fit," Ross informed her. She scrunched up her nose and thought that old man must go!

Dwight, Caroline, and Eleanor came around the far side of the house, Eleanor walking them to their car. Dwight was congratulating Eleanor for doing such an outstanding job with Joshua's care. Eleanor laughed, "it was tough at first, but he came around." Caroling grins, "I can imagine giving Uncle Ray even a cold medicine is like I am asking him for a kidney," Dwight snickered! Dwight told her, "That my dear is because you baby him the more, he complains." Caroline laughs, "says the man that treats him like a king." Eleanor listened to her friends tease each other, she wanted that she could hear the love in their voices, in the looks they gave each other, and how they touched one another, like they were lost if not within each other's reach. Eleanor looks over seeing Ross with Elizabeth, she turned back to her friends. Caroline is telling her, "Now that Ross is home to stay with Joshua, "we can get together for a night on the town?" Eleanor tells her, "We'll see." Caroline gives Elizabeth and Ross a scathing look as she shuts her door.
