Drake and Morwenna Carnes, Caroline, Joshua, Claude and Ross all went to the penthouse and stayed. After Dwight refused to let any of them stay. Caroline looked at Ross and said, "shouldn't you be with your other girlfriend?" He walked away from her because to tell the truth he had no idea why he kept helping Elizabeth. Elizabeth called Ross multiple times she had heard about the attack, she was sure Ross was with her, she needed to get him back to her as soon as possible. Ross saw the calls, but he couldn't deal with her at the moment. After several more calls she knew she would have to make another plan.

The next morning, they all headed back to the hospital. Where they met up with Paul Daniels. Paul told them that they had in all of Cornwall 10 cars with the paint matching the one that rear ended Eleanor. One of them was a car rental company, which was loaned out to one Hugh Armitage they were still tracking down if he were without the vehicle, they would have to track it down.
Ross looked at his dad and "see it wasn't Elizabeth?" Paul looked at him and said, "we don't know for sure until we find out if the vehicle was or who and where it was fixed." Paul didn't want anyone to tip off anyone because the vehicle could be involved in a homicide investigation!

Eleanor was in the hospital for 2 days and was released under the conditions that someone would be there with her at all times. Her Aunt and Uncle stayed the first week. Ross stayed at Nampara where Elizabeth was a constant visitor even though Ross had asked her to stay away because he didn't want his father upset. He could tell Joshua got agitated every time Elizabeth came around. Elizabeth didn't seem to care she most certainly didn't adhere to Ross's wishes. Claude would walk past and say loud enough for Elizabeth to hear, "the witch is here again, Pappa said he would call the police next time she comes!" Elizabeth just sneered at him. Why did they bring that simpleton back he would injure the Poldark name?

The second week Eleanor's Uncle and Aunt left, Joshua and Ross decided to stay he asked Jud Paynter to look after the farm and feed the animals. He also asked Zackey Martin to check in daily because Jud wasn't all that reliable. Ross, Claude, and Joshua arrived at the Penthouse. Caroline was there but decided to go home with Dwight if Ross was staying. Dwight came in to check on Eleanor. He told Joshua and Ross that one of them needed to stay with her at all times. Ross told him not to worry he wasn't leaving. Eleanor was using a cane to get around having graduated from the walker. Her face it was changing to dark blue to violet and the swelling had gone down some. Ross just wanted to kiss her, but Eleanor would not let him near her. She told him one evening that as long as he had the need to run to Elizabeth every time, she called then they could not even begin to start a relationship.

Elizabeth was getting increasingly desperate, she thought she got rid of her after the car accident, Ross was going to her and paying attention to her, that should be mine, she thought, that stupid playboy Hugh had to screw her plans. Now Ross was back at the penthouse babysitting that low born. She had to come up with a plan and fast or the stupid nurse was going to ruin everything.

The next evening Joshua had a card game with some of the retired employees. Leaving Ross to stay in with Eleanor. They were watching a movie when Ross got a call from Verity.
Ross - Hello Verity
Verity - Ross we are taking Elizabeth to the A&E we think she maybe in labor.
Ross - oh I am with Eleanor right now she can't be alone
Elizabeth got on the phone
Elizabeth - Ross you promised
Ross - Elizabeth once Father comes home I will come over
Elizabeth - moans in the phone moaning oh God it hurts!
Eleanor sees Ross's face and knows he wants to leave. "Ross leave go, I don't need you, never did and I never will, just go" Eleanor tells him.
Ross - Elizabeth I will be right there.
Once he hung up the phone. Ross goes to tell Eleanor "I "Eleanor cuts him off "no Ross don't come back, are you the only person she has? Her parents won't be their Verity won't be there? No, you want to be there with her, and I am DONE!" Ross leaves thinking tomorrow, I talk to her she will see it was for Francis!
