Over Played Hand

When Ross brought Eleanor home it was late morning, they attached a glucose monitor that would alert her if her sugar should go too high or too low. To be cute, the nurse set the monitor for too low to sound like a baby cry. To warn her she needed fed. For too high they put a siren, to warn her she had eaten something that made it go up. They didn't tell her but did tell her it would go off below 80, they told Ross what the sounds were so he would also realize her sugar was unstable. Dwight laughed when they showed him the sound for too low, he agreed it was perfect.

Ross was tempted to carry her but knew she was feeling well enough she would fight it, so he walked with her holding on to his arm. When he got to the Penthouse his father and Claude was there. Claude ran to her and said, is my baby okay. Ross raised his eyebrow, "it is your nephew or niece," then he looked at Eleanor and said, do you know yet?" She shook her head, "not until next month." Ross asked, "May accompany you to that appointment?" Eleanor said, "Depends on your behavior and what you do about a certain someone. Ross grumbled, "I told you how I feel about her?" "Yes, she is your friend, a Friend that has tried time and again to pull you to her. A friend that tried to have me killed, a FRIEND that was involved in your cousin's death." Ross saw Eleanor was getting upset, "Eleanor when she was acquitted, my mind told me she was mistreated, she assured me she would never do that sort of thing. She told me she admitted to it because I believed she was capable of doing such a thing. I wanted to believe her. I wanted to believe someone I admired for so long would not be so vile. I was wrong last night she showed her true self. I will Never believe in her again." Eleanor said, "Do you still admire her?" Ross said, Elizabeth was born to be admired, but no not any longer." Eleanor said, "What I was born to be a servant?" Ross said, "No not at all." She retorted, "I don't believe you, it will take a long time to forgive you, if I ever can."

Joshua came to her and said, "how do you feel Eleanor, Claude and I was very worried about you and OUR baby!" Ross growled, "we have earned a right to call it our baby, what have you done to earn that right," Joshua asked Ross? Ross whispered yelled, "That baby is of my blood and bone, I helped create it," Joshua said, it takes more then sperm to be a father, I should know." Ross looked at Eleanor who looked weary, he said come Eleanor you need to rest," She said, I can find my room myself, she then to Claude, "come I will read to you from the book you gave me." Ross thought I would never have guessed I would be jealous of my own brother, but if wish it were me, she was reading to. I am going to have to do something to prove my love for her.

Joshua said that he decided he was staying at the penthouse because he wanted to be close something happened. Ross said that is fine, but I will be staying here also. The hospital had but Demelza on leave until they deemed the threat to her and her child's live was no longer in danger. Since his father was going to be there, he asked Claude if he wanted to go to work with him. He told him he wanted to stay with Eleanor and her baby for the day then he added, "you better stay away from the witch, I have friends that tell me everything. Ross said, "okay Claude you have nothing to worry about, I'll be Goodbye My Lover" Eleanor didn't acknowledge him, Yes it was going to be a long hard long struggled.

When Ross, got to work, Verity asked, "how is Eleanor," Ross said, "hurt, betrayed, I need to keep her stress down and make sure she eat decently." Verity nodded. Ross didn't realize but he had a spy in his mitts." Ruth Teague called, "Elizabeth you better put that plan of yours in place. I think you are losing Ross." Elizabeth scoffed, "never Ross will never give me up." She called her secret weapon.

He answered his phone – Hello

Elizabeth - We need to move this forward if you want to stake your claim. I think you should show up this evening as a surprise tell Ross you were seeing her in America and here when she can back.

Him – "You sure this will work?"

Ross was working in his office when Jenny called in 'you have a visitor." Ross said, "who is it?" "Mistress Elizabeth Chynoweth Poldark." Ross said, "send her away tell her if she comes here again, I will report her for trespassing." Elizabeth stormed in, "is that anyway to treat you oldest and dearest friend?" Ross said, "after last night you no longer hold the title of friend. In fact, you are now and forever more will be my enemy. I tried Elizabeth to give you the benefit of the doubt by doing so, I realize all I did was encourage you to be the spoiled, person that I never did like. So please leave." Elizabet said so the brat got to you, did she? Did you know while she was in America she carried on with a man? They have seen each other at the hospital, it wouldn't surprise me if the brat were his." Ross yelled, "Get Out now before I call security. Elizabeth made no move to leave. Ross picked up his phone called Jenny, have security come to my office to escort Elizabeth out, also tell them she is not to have entrance to the building. I want a memo to go out stating anyone who passes any information whether personal or business to her will be terminated." Jenny replied, "Yes sir."
