Eleanor returned home with Ross; Joshua rejoiced at having Eleanor back. He noticed that Ross was holding her hand. Joshua laughed. "Am I to assume you and Eleanor are together and the annulment to be discarded'. Ross said, "you can assume, and the annulment is no longer viable." Eleanor blushed, Ross smirked, and Joshua took Eleanor's hand and kissed it then said, "Welcome home my daughter!" Claude came thundering down the steps, He lunged himself into Eleanor's arms saying, "I miss you so much. Come I want to show you, my horse." Joshua laughed saying let us all go into the parlor to sit and catch up; I am sure you have much to tell her Claude. Claude said, "besides that Ross is a stupid!" Claude looked at Ross and glared, "you better not chase her away again or I will tell everyone you're not my brother!" The topic of Cornmare came up and Joshua asked if she wanted it back, "it is not what I want to do, I like working to heal people. I have one semester left, then residency I want to be a Cardiologist. I have learned so much hopefully to help people like you." Ross told Joshua, "If Eleanor doesn't want the CEO, then I will continue on if that is what you want." Eleanor replied, "I really don't want to work in the Corp world." Claude you can work with me, I like my job, I get to help people find out where they need to go. Eleanor said, "it sounds like you have an important job there. He giggled, "I do, I get to tell people where to go." Eleanor laughed telling him, "I could listen to you telling me where to go all day." Claude blushed, "Eleanor can I tell you a secret?" Eleanor nodded, Claude informed her in a not to quiet of a voice, "I have a girlfriend, she is a waitress?" Ross said, "Tell Eleanor her name, Daisy." Eleanor said, "is this the same Daisy Duke as before?" Claude said, "yeah do you know her?" Eleanor said, "I have heard about her."Eleanor and Ross stayed at Nampara with Claude and his father. Eleanor was able to finish the semester at Turro University, then she would start her residency at Truro hospital. Claude rode in with Ross every day and came home with him in the evening unless Ross was waiting to bring Eleanor home from her shift at the hospital. Everything was going smoothly with Ross and Eleanor, Eleanor started to worry when things were going smoothly, Eleanor was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Drop it did about four months after she arrived in Cornwall, she was walking toward Cornmare when she spotted Elizabeth. Elizabeth stopped in front of her, "I see you are surprised I am here did Ross not tell you I was set free, they only had circumstantial evidence, so I appealed, and I was acquitted of all charges." Eleanor went to walk around her, but Elizabeth stopped her, "you know we spent a great deal of time together and he still loves me, he knows it so do I and you should to." Eleanor finally freed herself and went to the café instead of going into Cornmare.
After the Café Eleanor returned to Nampara she wasn't feeling all that well. Joshua saw her when she came in and he noticed how pale she was. He asked, "my dear are you alright?" Eleanor didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then she demanded, "did you know Elizabeth was acquitted and did Ross see her while I was away?" Joshua responded, "yes, they said that George's testimony was brought on because she betrayed him. As for Ross they have seen and accompanied each other to different functions but there was no romance there," Eleanor snorted, "Maybe someone should have told Elizabeth that." She went to the room laid down and went to sleep.
She had to go back to the hospital to work for a late shift, so she drove back to Truro. Ross was working late when he got a visitor, they asked Ross if he wanted to grab something to eat. Ross was hungry so they decided they should go to the Cafe. Eleanor was on break so decided to get a cup of coffee and maybe a sandwich. She went to the Cafe where she saw a familiar face in the window, Elizabeth. It was plain Elizabeth saw her because she smirked at her. Eleanor walked to the counter intent on getting her coffee then going. Elizabeth and Ross were laughing, Elizabeth speaking so loudly that anyone in the shop could hear her! They were reminiscing about the 'good ole days and Ross laughing at the time they were in the cave together and her shirt went out in the tide. Then Elizabeth said, "we would never of work we were so different." They were holding hands and Ross said, "Can love not overcome all obstacles, then he said you married Francis." Elizabeth said, "we had this discussion before, can't a woman love two men, can't a man love two women? Did you not tell me you will always love me?" Eleanor coffee was called she went to the table and said, "Good to know that is your feelings on love, I might just have to see for myself how I would handle it. She threw her coffee and sandwich down, spilling the coffee. Ross had jumped up, he grabbed for her hand when she went to walk around him. Eleanor pushed him down on the seat and walked out to her car.
