Continued....

The Alpha took a step towards her in hope of calming down the situation. Instead she spun around and bolted out the door and past the unsuspecting guard zooming into the forest. Once her feet touched the grass and her souls felt the freedom, the speed with which she ran increased even further. There was no stopping her now.

She ran hearing thuds of paws behind her but that didn't scare or stop her from moving forward. That is until her feet skidded to a halt right at the edge of a cliff. Her breath uneven, heart beating fast. Mesmerised at the sight she sat at the edge of the cliff forgetting about the chase. Forgetting about her freedom.

The mountains surrounded the lake on one side. On the other a little pebble beach half full of tourists and locals enjoying the early walk and magic of the place. Before she felt his she knew someone was nearing. Already in his human form he walked dangerously close to her. Now she stood at the eadge of death drop height turning her half body to get a glimpse of him at the tree line. His muscles tight and anger oozing from his eyes. Right at that moment he looked more like an angry bull rather than a werewolf magical being. Right that moment the bull seemed more scary Poppy taught.

Out of nowhere a sudden burning pain filled her body. It was as if she was being burned alive but not a part of her was on fire. Poppys eyes went from checking her body for flames to meeting the eyes of the alpha. Pain written all over her. He moved towards her before anyone has noticed the change occurring from within her. An ear piercing scream boomed from her.

He touched her arm feeling her skin hot at touch but not even slightly reddened. His eyebrows furrowed almost making one as she grabbed both his forearms digging her thin fingers into his skin. The Alpha followed her lead holding onto her forearms as her eyes paled into a fog. A gush of wind woodshed the strands of her hair as the screams fell silent.

As suddenly as the burning came she fell back to her normal state. The beutiful eyes gaining in colour again. The breeze slowing down and her hold easing on his arms. His worry not leaving his sharp features. His hold has not eased on her arms. She shifted under his glare. Looking into his eyes said "I'm okay." The sweetness of her voice snapped him out of whatever protective bubble he wanted to keep her in and let go off her arms.

With one step back poppy knew she was in trouble. Earth under her feet seemed to not exist and her body suddenly falling down fast plunging into the cold still water.

In a way she felt free with her body drowning deeper and deeper into towards the unknown bottom of the lake. As the light has dimmed the further she slipped and the lack of air burned her lungs. Last thing she saw before blacking out was a whoosh of another body hitting the water.

The next thing she knows is a half naked male kneeling  with one leg between two of her own. He moved the plastered hair away from her face. Shivers cursing her body.

"You're okay.." he whispered with deep breaths and beads of water flowing down from his soaked hair as she laughed infecting him as a smile spread on his lips.

The feeling of onlookers made her gaze down until he tilted her head up forcing her to look straight at him. There was an undeniable connection between them. Like a trans taking over their bodies they were still in that moment. His hand trailing from the hold he had on her chin to the back of her neck slowly lowering down to place a kiss onto her lips. He inches closer and closer looking over her face looking for a sign of protest but there was none. She wanted him as much as he wanted her right then forgetting about their surroundings. The remainder of his clothes plastered onto his perfect body. Abs on a perfect display showing off his Greek God body. She licked her bottom lip before biting down on it shifting her gaze from his body to his face, loosing her taught in his golden eyes.

"Kitten don't do that. I won't be able to stop myself." He whispered hoarsely lust coating his words. She could feel his breath meddling with her own needing him more than she'd want to admit. Until a rustle behind her snapped their attention away from this perfect first kiss moment. After all it's just what it was. A moment in time she told herself.

She wiggled away from him, away from his touch she craved so badly. Putting distance between them. The rustle came out to be his beta who was taking his hoodie off walking towards us. He held it out to Poppy bowing his head slightly. The alpha gave out a short growl not satisfied at the interruption.

The three of them walked back to the cabin. Halfway through the Alpha interrupted the perfect silence between them.

"Jack is the packs trainer. He teaches young wolves to shift. Starting tomorrow he will teach you too. " Poppy nodded not looking up at him. Once they reached the house she ran inside muttering a short thank you for saving my life and shutting the door right before his face.

For a strange reason she wanted him to barge in tearing down the door. To hold her in his masculine arms and finish what was started out there by the lake side. Poppy stood at the door pressing her forehead to the cold wood with one hand still holding the round brass knob feeling the connection to this mystery man even with the barrier between them.
