damn this was a rollercoaster... I went a lil crazy with the fast updates but I was having a writing spark :3I loved the tension and anxiety everyones feeling hehe I feel so mean to sakusa rn but im just projecting my own shitty love life on him.

Chapter 22

Kaiya yawned as she stretched, her legs were aching from running around all day. Before the holidays, the clinic would get busier than usual. She had to deal with a lot of new clients... A lot of whom were old and couldn't even read the forms they had to fill out. She felt like she was running a daycare centre.

Her phone had begun rung and she answered it

"Kaiya... Hi... Can you talk?" Hanami's asked and Kaiya noticed the glumness in her tone

"Hello Hanami, yes I can. Um, is everything alright? You sound upset..."

Hanami sighed, and she could hear her sniffling

"I-I'm breaking up with Atsumu!" She blurted and Kaiya gasped,

"What!? Why!? Do you want me to come over?" She asked quickly

"N-No, I'm with my father right now but will you come out for a drink with me tomorrow? I need to talk to someone" She said and Kaiya didn't hesitate to accept. Hanami had really been there for her during her breakup, she wanted to be supportive too

"Ofcourse, I'll meet you tomorrow night!"

"Thank you so much Kaiya!" Hanami' beamed. Kaiya smiled, she felt sad on the inside. Atsumu and Hanami were so good together...

She wondered why Hanami was leaving him?

They ended the call and she left the clinic, locking up after herself. She began her journey back home and when she turned the street... As predicted, Sakusa was waiting by the bench, getting up when he saw her.

He had been walking her home every night this week but they still kept their conversation minimal. He didn't beg her take him back and she didn't stop him from walking her home... Kaiya gave him a curt nod and he lifted his hands, showing her the cups he was holding

"I got you hot chocolate." He muttered, handing her a cup. She took note of the word Bunny scribbled messily on her cup while his had his name on it...

"Thanks... It's pretty cold today..." She muttered, holding the paper cup. He nodded, agreeing with her... She eyed how red his ears looked and she bet under his mask, his nose was red too... Feeling bad that he kept waiting in the cold to walk her home... She sipped her drink, before looking at him

"You know you can just wait at the clinic for me... W-We have heating inside..." She mumbled, feeling the blush grow on her cheeks

Sakusa looked at her, slipping his mask under his chin. He sipped his coffee, feeling warmth growing in his chest

"I would but I'm embarrassed to face your parents at the moment." He answered and she chuckled,

"Yeah... If I were you, I would be too..." Sarcasm in her voice but it did hurt him. He already felt guilty as it was...

His eye twitched and he flushed,

"I'm trying..." He muttered and she stopped walking,

"Are you really?"

Sakusa frowned, he let out a sigh, feeling frustration

"Kaiya, come on... How long are you going to stay mad at me? It can't possibly be forever... Why won't you forgive me?" He asked and she sighed,
