What about the moonstone

"Grace, I don't know what you think you are doing, but I need Elena to remain safe." Elijah tells me.
Huh? I would have thought Elijah would be against Klaus turning.
"You want you maniac of a brother to be a hybrid?" I ask emphasising "hybrid."
"I do not, but I want him to think I do, but he cannot know that," Elijah says avoiding my eyes.
"It's okay to be scared of him, you would be stupid if you weren't," I try to reassure him. Elijah doesn't want me to see him like this, he has always tried to remain brave in front of me, he worries about me too much.
"I'm not afraid of what Niklaus will do to me, I am afraid of what he will do to himself, he cannot handle such power and I fear it will be his end." Elijah says. Yeah right, Elijah is should he scared, Klaus only daggered him and his siblings a billion times.
"I need Elena for my plan to work though," I say, there is no way Klaus would forgive me if he didn't get Elena because of me.
"What for?" Elijah asks.
I hold my fingers to my lips and mouth "my brothers" hoping he gets the hint. If my brothers find out my plan I will not live till tomorrow.
Elijah nods his head understandingly. There must be way both of us can get our way.
"We both need Elena safe for the time being so let that be our goal for the moment," I say hoping my brothers are too busy too listen.
That's when we hear Elena's scream and both rush to my brothers.

Once we get there everyone is still alive and in tact and my brothers are no where to be seen so I don't get what the scream was for.
Elijah goes to Elena. He leans in as if he is going to kiss her but instead his, smells her? He goes to Rose.
"I have waited so long for this day Elijah" Trevor says barely keeping eye contact "truly, very sorry."
"No your apology is not necessary" Elijah says turning to Trevor.
"Yes, yes it is," Trevor begins "you trusted me with Katerina and I failed you."
"Well yes you are the guilty one, Rose aided you because she was loyal to you, that I honour." Elijah is now circling Trevor. "Where was your loyalty?" Elijah asks looking directly into Trevor's eyes.
"I beg your forgiveness," Trevor answers finally looking Elijah in the eyes.
"So granted." Elijah answers. Elijah then rips his head off with a sickening sound.
Elena then gasps and covers her mouth.
Rose holds her stomach then tries to make her way to Elijah but I shake my head, she gets the idea and stops.
I don't know what I expected to happen, but it wasn't this.
"You!" Rose says climbing down the indoor balcony stairs ignoring my warning.
"Don't, Rose," Elijah says calmly "now that you are free."
Rose sobs.
"Come," Elijah demands to Elena.
"What about the moonstone!" Elena says quickly, that stops Elijah. How did I not know they had the moonstone? Shit.
"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah says, how is he so calm?
"I know that you need it and I know where it is." Elena says almost stuttering.
"I guess" Elijah looks at the floor but quickly makes eye contact again. Me and Rose look at each other, we both don't know what to do in this situation, she is still sobbing, I roll my eyes and turn back to Elijah.
"I can help you get it." Elena says, yeah right like she would have it over.
"Tell me where it is," Elijah demands.
"It doesn't work that way" Elena says, she has some nerve.
"Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah asks turning to Rose.
"It's the first I've heard of it," Rose says sternly.
I hear Elena's rapid and ragged breathing. What the hell are my brothers waiting for. Elena looks at me as if I'm going to help her. I shake my head softly.
"What is this vervain doing on your neck?" Elijah asks pulling Elena's necklace off her neck and throwing it to my feet.
"Tell me where the moonstone is" Elijah compels Elena.
"It's in the tomb under the church ruins" Elena answers him.
"What is it doing there?" Elijah continues.
"It's with Katherine." Elena says.
Katherine is here? Shit, I really need to pay more attention.
"Interesting" Elijah says letting her go.
Elijah turns looking to the roof, he heard it too, must be Damon and Stefan.
"What is that?" Elijah asks Rose.
"I don't know" Rose says looking around.
"Who else is in this house?" Elijah demands.
"I don't know" Rose answers.
Elijah grabs Elena.
