(This chapter is from the perspective of Stefan)
"I have never seen anything like it" I say pacing.
The second Grace saw Alaric she acted as if she were possessed her eyes went red, her fangs came out and she ran at him, we had to stake her in the stomach to stop her and we snapped her neck and tie her down to the table.
"It's like her humanity came back when she saw Ric" Caroline says.
"Is that possible?" Asks Bonnie fiddling with her necklace.
Elena, Jeremy, Caroline and Bonnie are all here with me and Damon trying to figure out what happened.
"Well the humanity switch can be triggered by any strong emotion, I don't see why it won't come back on with anger." Explains Damon.
"But why is she mad at Ric?" Asks Jeremy.
"I don't know Jeremy!" Yells Damon "I didn't realise she knew him till thirty seconds ago!" He throws a glass at the wall and paces back and forth in front of the fire place.
"What actually happened thought when she saw you?" Elena asks.
"She closed her eyes and when she opened them they were red, her fangs were out and those vein things were under her eyes all she said was 'you' and she came at me." Alaric tells her.
"We can get into her head," says Caroline "between Stefan, Damon and me I am sure we could find something."
"We are not doing that" snaps Damon, I look at him and he just shrugs.
"Why not?" Says Bonnie asks sternly, "it's the best way to figure this out."
"Do we really want to see all of the messed up things in her head and all of those moments with that Kol dude?" Damon says a bit to forcefully.
"She is our sister," I tell Damon trying to convince him "if her humanity is back that is a good thing and we should help." I reason.
Elena shifts, "what's wrong?" I ask grabbing her hand.
"I'm still not used to hearing you say 'sister' and I still don't get why you never told me." Elena complains.
I see Bonnie and Caroline roll their eyes "Elena, that is not our biggest problem right now, who knows what things Grace had done that she now has to deal with the guilt of," Caroline says impatiently.
Caroline, ignoring Damon's demands, then stands at the end of the table and places her hands either side of Graces head, Damon shifts looking uncomfortable.
I join Caroline and place my hands on Grace's shoulder.

*inside Grace's mind*
I'm standing at the top of a long corridor, metal barriers line the walls, they are all empty. I walk down and my footsteps echo on the stone floors. I hear a bang.
I turn to see a person being dragged out of a cell by a man in some sort of medical uniform. I follow them that's when I see a person strapped to a table and a doctor tending to a table of various medical instruments. The person is struggling against the restraints. The doctor lifts a scalpel then, plunges it into the persons eye. A terrifying scream fills the hall.
What the hell is going on?
Someone taps my shoulder, "why are you out of your cage?" I turn to see a man in a suit, he stabs a syringe in my leg. Vervain!

I wake up on the floor. Bonnie helps me up.
"What did you see?" She asks.
"The-there were cages a-and doctors stabbing people in the eye. Someone injected me with vervain then I woke up here." I stutter as I stand up. Caroline is still over at the table.
Damon's eyes widen but he remains silent.
"I should try again" I say but Damon grabs me, "No!" He says, "Caroline is still there, you going back would be pointless suffering."
I shrug him off "I don't care," before I can do anything Grace screams. Grace is waking up. Caroline lets go and takes a step back.
