"Hey wanna meet at the grill? I'm starving" I type, I can't decide who to send this too, Tyler or Matt. I kind of need a werewolf more than I need Elena jealous, I press send to Tyler.
Less than thirty seconds later he types "definitely, be there in 10."
I am sitting at a booth waiting for Tyler.
"Hey Grace," I look up, it's Matt.
"Hey," I smile.
"Are you waiting for anyone?" He asks.
"Yeah, Tyler," I answer. His face drops but he quickly recovers. "Can I sit with you while you wait?" He asks sitting down before I can answer. He sits next to me while leaving the other side empty for Tyler.
"Are you and Tyler a-a thing?" Matt asks rubbing the back of his neck avoiding eye contact.
"No, I mean we kissed but I don't think anything is official," I smile.
"So you just kiss anyone?" Matt laughs awkwardly.
"Depends," I say.
"On what?" Matt asks.
"Who, where, my mood, the list goes on." I smile.
"So I just have to be in the right place at the right time?" Matt chuckles.
"Basically," I say as I trace along his hand. He starts to lean in, I lean in and our lips meet. The kiss is gentle. He slides closer to me and holds my waist putting more pressure on my lips. I hear the door open and I gently push Matt away.
"Sorry, we can continue this another time," I say as Tyler approaches, Matt nods.
"Hey Grace," Tyler beams then he turns to Matt, "I didn't know you were joining us," he says flatly, "I wasn't going to, I just happened to be here and saw Grace," Matt stands up getting the hint, "I'll see you guys later, I call you sometime Grace."
"That would be great," I smile back and I see Tyler shift.
"I ordered us some fries already and two diet colas so they should be here soon" I say to Tyler. Instead of taking the empty side across from me Tyler slides next to me so our thighs are touching.
"It was great to receive a text from you, I haven't seen you at school for a while." Tyler asks as he puts an arm around me. I stiffen at his touch but try to relax "yeah, sorry about that, it was a bunch of family stuff," I answer him.
"I missed seeing you," he says sliding his arm down from my shoulder to my waist.
"I missed seeing you too, but I should be back next week, just a few things to sort out."
His arm is stroking my side, I lean my head on his shoulder.
