Enzo randomly flashes through my mind, the way he smiled at me when he returned from torture wanting me to think he was fine, him giving me his shot of blood every once in a while as a surprise. I wonder if he is ok, when this Klaus stuff is over and if I survive I will go with Elijah and get him. Then his face when Damon left us flashes across my mind, I have never seen someone so mad and so hurt but still he held me to protect me and make me feel safe. He made sure I survived.
My thoughts scatter as my phone rings, 'Elijah' it rings.
"Why haven't you returned my calls?" I ask before he says anything.
"I'm telling Elena about the hybrid curse on Klaus," he says.
"No you're not" I whisper shout,
"They need to know what they are up against," he says.
"They already do," I answer.
"They don't know the true consequences of what happens if he gets Elena," he explains.
"Can't we just give him Elena and he can be on his merry way?" I sigh, half thinking it could work.
"Absolutely not, we cannot allow someone with his temperament have that much strength," he says firmly.
"Fine," I give up, "do what you want but don't bring me into this, you and your siblings may have cared about me but I don't trust Klaus."
"He loves you Grace, but I don't know if it's enough for him to leave you alone in this mess."
I swallow, "do what you have to do."
I hang up.
This is a disaster, if my brothers know I lied and they know the truth there is nothing stopping them from killing me.
I decide to go to where Bonnie is, I need to know that she is ok.
I leave through the front door as everyone else is hanging around in the kitchen. Damon told me that the house's light burns vampires but it's dark and I hope the witches know I don't mean them harm right now.
I ensure no one is following me and I arrive at the house.
I cautiously step into the house, one foot, than the other, nothing happens. I slowly walk to the basement as quickly as I can, the whispers of witches echo through the rooms.
I push the basement door and it makes a loud creaking noise.
"Bonnie?" I whisper.
I hear a man's whisper.
I rush through the door and around the corner.
I release a huge sigh, thankful to see it's only Jeremy.
"Sorry, just checking you're okay," I say softly, didn't mean to scare you."
"She's fine, you can go," Jeremy stands up in front of Bonnie.
I try to walk past him, he grabs my arm. I yank him down and knee him in the stomach, he crouches over gasping for air.
"Sorry that you had to do that," I apologise to Bonnie.
"No, I get it, it is the smart thing, this gives us an edge over Klaus," she says, "thanks for checking on me-"

"She is fine Grace," Jeremy says grabbing me again and holding vervain near my neck, "but it's time for you to go."
"What is your problem?" I ask, a burning sensation sears my neck.
I hiss and grit my teeth, "fine I'm going" I slap his hand away. I knee him in the stomach one more time on my way out.
