Date Night: Part 2

We finish our pizza and continue to talk with Joe and catch up with him, cracking jokes. Quite a nostalgic feelings, I felt like I was back in college with Lizzie.

"Where are you guys heading next ?", Joe asks, "Might I suggest the Rockefeller center to see the big tree and ice skate", he tell us.
"What do you think Lizzie ?", I ask her.
"If you really want to then let's go", she tells me but didn't seem to fond of the idea.
"I say we go for it", I say.

"Thanks for the pizza joe ! I'll see you soon", I tell him getting up and ready to walk out the shop with Lizzie. I take her hand and help her stand up to walk out and as we are walking out joes yells out, "Take care of your wife!"

"I will!", I yell out.
"I was actually talking to Liz O!", he tells out and Lizzie just laughs.

"So Rockefeller?", I ask her
"You didn't have any of this date planned did you ?", she asked, and I give her a cheesy smile.
"I figured we would go with the flow, be spontaneous as always. I am not really good at coming up with dates", I tell her.
"Anything is great, as long as I am with you", she tells me pulling me in for a kiss but I swerve her, she quirks an eyebrow on me.

"What do I smell like pizza or something?, she asks me and I just nod my head over to the guy across the street pointing a camera at her. I give her a hug and the guy snaps a picture.
"Now he has a picture of two friends sharing a hug and not another kissing incident for you", I tell her and she just smiles.
"Down side of fame but you also do smell a little like pizza, I don't mind it though", I say and she laughs.
"Thank you", she tells me and I give her a small smile while I call a cab.

"You are being very understanding of the whole keeping your real life public thing.", she tells me and I smile.
"I get it now, not wanting everyone in your business. But that was mostly to protect you, I hate seeing people criticizing you publicly, you should be able to live you life.", I tell her and we get in the taxi and just sit in silence until we get to the Rockefeller.

"Shit it's huge!", she says looking at the tree, trying to resist the urge to say inappropriate but I could not resist.
"That's what she said !", I say and the taxi drivers starts cracking up.
"Seriously Marshall?! Wow that's really mature", she tells me pushing me out the taxi and I laugh uncontrollably.
"I am so sorry, it was too good of an opportunity", I say as we walk to towards the tree and she just laughs.

We walk to the tree and see a few people ice skating and we just admire the tree for a moment.
"Shall we go down there to skate ?", I ask and she gives me a funny look.
"Okay I've never ice skated before! But I didn't want to say no to you at joes pizza because of the date but honestly that looks really hard", she tells me and I laugh.
"Okay well there is a first time for everything, if it gets to hard then just hold the rail, I'll guide you through everything", I say and she nods, we make our way to get the skating shoes and head to the ice rink.

I go in first and hold out my hands to help support Lizzie to get in, she steps in slowly and grips my hands harder. I slowing skate backwards pulling her along with me and she closes her eyes and grips me tighter.
"It's okay you're doing it! Not so bad right, I am going to let go okay ?", I tell her and she opens her eyes to look at me.
"Don't let go!", she tells me with straight fear in her eyes.
"Liz I am going to let go! You gotta experience the skating freedom!", I tell her I push away from her and let her go, she screeches and throws herself to me, swinging her arms around my neck with her full body. I slide backwards and fall on my butt dragging her down with me.

"Ouch", I say out loud, "that was not a nice feeling on my ass", I tell her and she laughs.
"I am so sorry y/n! Are you okay? You kinda broke my fall", she says still giggling, she tries to stand herself up but fails, I get up and then help her stand up and she smiles.
