She came on time, May 3rd was her due date and she was my early birthday present after 12 hours of labour, eating ice and pacing my breathing. Proudly, we welcomed a healthy 6 pound 7 ounce baby girl, with full lips, almond shaped eyes, blonde brown curly hair and her grandmothers eye colour. Her daddy saw her first, and made sure he let her know what he thought.
" She's perfect baby- thank you..." he held her, now I had been cleaned up and left alone with my husband to rest and nurse our newborn.
" you did amazing baby- she's so loved by her daddy already-"" no you, you're amazing ... I love you so much, and I can't wait to take my girls home-" he kissed my lips then her forehead before he gently placed her back into the crib besides the bed. My "push gift" was being discussed, ever since the clip at our baby shower was posted online.
" I'm so proud of you Ly"
" we did it babe... I can't believe she's here"
" she's perfect, looks just like Adonis"
" I know right... just like Daddy" he was tired too, having stayed awake all throughout labour and the morning when I finally took a nap.Our first guests were my mum, Jasmin, Adonis, Aubreys mother's and baby Beau, then Knight and Amanda with their kids came the day with my Mum again. They got me a cake and sang happy birthday to me as she was so loved already, received at least 10 thousand kisses an hour she was wide awake. I fell asleep with her, so was startled when I woke in my private hospital room, which being packed up by my mum and sister, as Aubrey played in my hair.
" is she okay"
" she's fine... how you feeling"
" just tired, baby..."
" You wanna get ready now babe? We're almost ready to go home-" I was exhausted, and nodded before I slowly got up and went into my bathroom and cried. Silent tears, I was so happy with our baby, life and marriage but I knew my mother wasn't and my daughter would never see her grandparents together.
Especially as they came to meet our baby separately.
They had been living separately for months, the kids in our London family house or with me in LA with my mum, as my dad was mostly here in LA, or networking across the globe. My soul retreated back to the little girl inside of me, scared my mum was crying and my dad was shouting and breaking things. I lay in my bed crying, tears falling down the side of my face and I lay still and awake in the huge and empty house, filled with fighting adults and confused children. They fought so much, but I always believed they loved harder. Someone knocked and I knew it wa him, and met him in. we spoke in hushed voices, trying to not alert anyone.
