You were a part of every good thing from my childhood,
the KPOP boybands, the Barbie movie marathons,
treks through the forest, the stories swapped on Yahoo Mail,
prom, the best books from the library, homemade cookies,
dress-up at slumber parties, mermaids at the pool,

these things can never be fully good again.
I can't ever finish a smile when I remember that what used to be so treasured
was trashed,
what used to be so sacred
was scarred.
