I am a ghost without a grave
Words scissored out of an obituary
Bouquets never laid on a casket
Fingerprints absent on a heart
Still beating and decaying within a vaporous skin
A frail cloud of imperceptible, cobwebbed, wedding gown white accumulating dust in the attic
Wandering
And unknown
Here and then
Gone
Gon
Go

Two eye slits and one mouth hole cut out of a bed sheet phantom
Eyes never seen
A Mouth never heard
Pull the Halloween costume off and watch me
Dis-
ap-
pear
He loves me
He loves me not
Petals being ripped from a flower
Always falling
Forever curling, crumbling, crushed into pieces
I am a ghost with a grave
Four letters so familiar to your lips
Yet a complete stranger to your hearts
Buried beneath the dirt of
Recycled hello's and regurgitated how are you's
Trapped
And unknown
Because you never bothered to dig deep enough to see the bones laid beneath my tombstone
Listen to my heartbeat in silence and
fade
Into
o b l i v i o n......
