Your six letters are still stained on my keyboard
The indent of your face still wrinkles my paper
At night
nights when I'm a child for a moment more
the fan overhead coos softly
the night breathes deeply, her melodic slumber hushed by my bedroom window
the haze from the Christmas lights strung on the roof
hum a song of silence
the stillness of the world invites me to remember what can only live on when time has stopped
and I will see you for a moment more.
