Chapter 19: The Great explanation

"I'm going to explain you everything. But you have to promise that you won't tell anyone" Nate said.

"Okay, I promise".

"You promise what?" he asked.

"I promise that I won't tell anything that you explain to me to anyone" I assured him.

"Okay, don't interrupt me while I'm explaining" I nodded and he continued. "So,... Adam and I met on 7th grade. We had known each other since then, but we became closer at the begging of last course. He sat with us at lunch, he hung out with our group, he came to all the matches and parties that we had. We became best friends and we hung out alone too. While we were at the cinema one day he kissed me. I wasn't expecting it, but I kissed him back." Oh my gosh, this is not happening to me. "After that we saw each other a lot. He wanted to tell everybody about our relationship but I didn't. Anna guessed what had happened between us. I don't know how she did it. He agreed not to say anything but I got worried that someone might guess something, like Anna did. So we fell apart. Adam wanted to go back together and so did I. And then is when we had that big fight that Anna told you. We had gotten back that day but Adam had wanted to tell everyone so nothing could happen like it had happened the last time. He told me that I was a selfish bastard and a coward for not wanting to tell everyone. I know that I am, but I'm afraid about what everybody would say. Last weekend at the party was the fourth time after the great discussion that we kissed. He started talking about telling everybody again and I said no again. Today at lunch I waited for him and I tried to apologize for everything that had happened at the party, like Anna had told me to do, but he didn't want to talk to me. He didn't even want to listen. I messed up this time".

My world stopped. I couldn't believe that I had fallen for someone that wouldn't be able to feel the same for me. Not because he liked another girl but because he wasn't attracted to them.
