Yura

When we reached our school, students begun to rush outside the van pushing everyone around them, that's something I hate. I sat there quietly and after making sure everyone got out, I hopped down the van and stared around to find only the 12th batch students playing around, joking, and chitchatting in little groups.

I walked towards the veranda where students are seated and placed myself near a pillar. Shrugging my bag from my shoulder, I kept it on my lap and played with the loose end of the bag rolling and unrolling it.

"Yura!Oh my god! I didn't learn anything!"Vinny said nervously but her words carried more excitement than worry. She is the one who often shows up to me, but don't take her wrong for a good friend. The word "often" describes only when she seriously needs something, at other times she doesn't even care about my existence. I don't know how she feels about me but she made me think of myself as a use-and-throw thing.

She shook my shoulders and stared at me "Did you learnt anything Yura?" she asked me with her eyeballs almost popping out from her doe eyes."I--I opened my mouth to speak but someone interrupted me"She must have"oh! there you go!

I turned my head around and watched Nila walking towards us with her signature smirk and confidence lingering on her face. "Vinny, what do you know about Yura? She must have learned every single word in the whole book" she said smiling while Vinny nodded her head in agreement with Nila.

"Of course, I learnt everything"I lied because I can't change how people perceive me and so I play along with them. Only I know what I did while preparing for the exam. Mostly...

Overthinking,

Crying,

Zoning out,

Panic attacks

and just lying there with eyes wide open and I was anything but depressed.

But who cares right!

It's sometimes extremely good if they just don't care rather than saying something they just assumed about me was not helping my condition.

"Yeah, just as I thought! And one more thing Yura, don't always study okay? look at your eyes how dark circles had occupied them" she said scrunching up her face."She's right Yura, it's the effect of you studying all night without sleep, don't become a mad girl" Vinny said eyeing my face."She already is!"Nila mockingly said and both broke into laughter."You are literally a robot Yura" Vinny said between her laughs.

And I just sat there numb, putting on a small smile on my face.

There's a voice inside my head yelling at me to slap their faces hard but my heart wasn't ready to hurt anyone...

I'm not mad, I'm just sad and hurt and I m not a robot, I do have feelings.

After making fun of me or in their way saying having fun..they sat near me and started to chit chat something.

I leaned my head on the pillar beside me and rewinded all the memories I had in this school. Soon enough the bell rang and students begun to scatter everywhere asking for stationery items and the ruffling sound of pages of books echoed in the corridor. It was little fun to watch them studying at the last minute.

"Yura! if your place is somehow assigned near me, please help me okay?"Vinny said stuffing her book inside her bag before taking a glance at an exact page.

I nodded to her and soon our teacher guided everyone to the exam hall. I went in and took my seat. Vinny was seated far behind me.

The exam began and I started to write whatever I know. The questions were hella confusing. But, somehow I managed to write and retreated my answer sheet within the allotted time.

Finally! the last exam got over!
