I stayed in the cabin thinking. I gradually gathered all bottles of rum I could find aiming to get shit faced then deal with problems later. I drank and drank and drank. I staggered over to Jack's desk barely able to see straight. I dropped the bottle I was holding so I bent down to pick it up. I fell to my knees and started to pick the glass up seeing another bottle I made a mad lurch towards it. I took a large swig and slipped out of consciousness, my wrist landing in the broken glass.

Jack's pov:

We had just arrived at Tia's island so I went to go get Sam, or Y/n as I should now call her. I pondered what to call her as I walked to me cabin. I looked down and saw her in a very scary, very big pool of crimson red blood surrounded by broken glass with a rum bottle in one hand. My heart stopped. Deep red lines littered her wrist and face, a particularly deep one running through her eyebrow and ending halfway down her cheek. I ran out of the cabin shouting "Will! Gibbs! Get yourselves bloody here now or I will keelhaul you!" they both came running. "Cap'n what is it?" Gibbs asked out of breath. I didn't say anything but motioned for them to follow as I ran into my cabin. "Oh, my-" Gibbs started. "Jack we have to help her! We have to! That woman! Would she be able to help?" Will shouted at me tears running down his cheeks. I slowly nodded in response silent tears almost sliding down my own. "Help me lift her!" Will shouted to Gibbs carrying her out and taking her straight to a boat. I slowly followed. I was silent. I had no words. I had the same thoughts running through my head What if she is dead? I steeled my face and blinked aggressively, if she was dead I was determined to get her back. There had to be a way. I could give myself to Davy Jones for eternity in exchange for her to be brought back. Why was I even feeling this way? What did Gibbs call them? Stirrings? No, I can't have stirrings for her. She is my first mate and close friend that's all.

In what seemed like days we were at Tia's. "No worries mates. Tia Dalma and I go way back. Thick as thieves. Nigh inseparable, we are. were. have been. before" I tried to reassure them. Will carried her in his arms "I'll watch your back," Gibbs tried to assure. "It's her and me front I'm worried about." I said walking in "Mind the boat," Gibbs said to Will but he followed us in either way. "Jack Sparrow," she smiled showing off her black teeth. "Tia Dalma, help her," I said as a greeting she rushed around picking up various jars as Y/n was laid on the table by Will. As she worked she said "I always knew the wind would blow you back to me,"

She wrapped the mixed herbs in a cloth and put them under her nose. Her eyelids fluttered open.

Y/n's pov:

I felt consciousness coming back to me, my arm and my head throbbed as if I had been whipped I breathed in, a horrible smell caused me to sit up instantly. I had no idea where I was. I saw a woman, I jumped off the table and drew my sword pointing it at her neck. "You are safe here," she said through a thick accent. I was suddenly overcome with dizziness stumbling backwards with a hand on my head. A pair of strong arms caught me and I looked around to see who it was. Jack stood with a frown on his face looking at me "Let me stand." I demanded he did as I said. "Who is this woman? you are all being quite rude not introducing her." I started acting as though I hadn't been unconscious for however long. Probably only a couple of hours.  "This, luv, is Tia Dalma." Jack said

"Why are we here again?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "To find his bloody key," Will said. I felt rage burning through me. It took every fibre of my being to not launch myself at him and make a scene in Tia's hut. I sent him an angry glare. "You have a touch of destiny about you, William Turnah" Tia said. "You know me?" Will said. "You want to know me," Tia said seductively "There'll be no knowing here," I interrupted "We have come for help and we are not leaving without it. I thought I knew you," Jack said. A pang of jealousy stung my chest but I brushed it off. "Not as well as I had hoped," she said walking away and sitting on a seat. "Come," she said as she gestured over "Come," Jack repeated. I rolled my eyes. "What service may I do you? Other than helping the girl." She said the first part seductively to Will and the rest to Jack. "You know I demand payment," she said sternly. "I brought payment," Jack said pulling out the cage with Jack the monkey in. "Look," he said rather proudly "an undead monkey, top that."

She let Jack out and he scuttled away "The payment is fair." she said. "Don't! You have no idea how long it took us to catch that." Gibbs protested. "We are looking for this, "Will said as he pulled out the cloth with the key on, he risked a glance at me but I looked away. "And what it goes to," he looked up at her. She stiffened. "The compass you bartered from me, it cannot lead you to this?" Tia said looking at Jack who was examining a hat. "Maybe, why?" he asked. Tia sat down. "I hear you. Jack Sparrow does not know what he wants." the corner of her lips turned up in a smile as she teased him. "Or do you know, but loath to claim it as your own?" she asked glancing at me. Impossible he was incapable of sentiment. He would never love me, oh why do I care, it's not like I love him back. Do I?

"Your key go to a chest." she said "And it is what lay inside the chest you seek don't it?" she asked. "What is inside?" Gibbs asked. "Gold?" Pintell asked. "Jewels? unclaimed properties of a valuable nature?"

"Nothing bad, I hope," Ragetti said nervously. Tia lent forward. "You know of Davey Jones, yes? A man of the sea." she paused I looked at Jack, he looked so handsome in this light, the burning candlelight reflected on his tan skin and his dark eyes held the twinkle of adventure. He leant slightly to the left letting his coat and shirt dangle off his attractive frame. The deep cut in his shirt showed some of the golden skin that fitted him so perfectly. Oh. My. God. Did I like him? I mean he was attractive sure but I wouldn't love him. Tia began speaking again so I focused on her words remembering to think about it later. "A great sailor, until he run afoul of that which vex all men," she said "What vexes all men?" Will asked, "Could it be more obvious?" I said my voice dripping sarcasm "What indeed?" Tia said mysteriously "The sea!" Gibbs said. "Sums," Pintel said "The dichotomy of good and evil," Ragetti announced loudly. We all looked at him as if he had 17 heads sprout from his shoulders. "No it was-" I started but got cut off. "A Woman," Jack said looking slightly zoned out. "A woman, he fell in love," Tia said. "No no no no, I heard it was the sea he fell in love with." Gibbs corrected. Tia suddenly grew harsh "same story, different versions and all are true. See it was a woman, as changing and as harsh and untamable as the sea. Him never stopped loving her, but the pain it cause him was too much to live with but not enough to cause him to die," Tia stopped again "What exactly did he put in the chest?" Will asked. I mentally facepalmed. "Him heart." she said. "literally or figuratively?" Ragetti asked "He couldn't literally put his heart in a chest. " Pintel said "Could he?" sounding unsure of himself "You used to be undead anything is possible at this point," I argued Tia looked at me approvingly. "It was not worth feeling what small fleeting joy life brings. And so... him carve out him heart, lock it in a chest, and hide the chest away from the world." she finished dramatically

"The key, he keep with him at all times." she leant back in the chair. "You knew this!" Will turned dramatically accusing Jack, he may have known but I really hated Will right then. "He did not!" I protested, Jack glanced at me slightly smiling. "I didn't know where the key was. But now we do all that's left is to do is to climb onto Jones's boat, what's the bloody thing called?" he asked waving his hands "Crocodile machine thingy," I input helpfully "That," he said pointing at me "grab the key, go back to port royal to save your bonnie lass," he said turning away, Tia stood "Let me see your hand," she demanded oh bugger he held out his right hand, Tia gave him a harsh glare and he held out his left. She removed the bandage, showing his black spot. Gibbs gasped, "The black spot!" he spun around 3 times then spat Pintell and Ragetti doing the same thing. "My eyesight is as good as ever, just so you know!" Jack said jokingly, only I slightly snorted. Tia went behind a curtain, " I have just the thing, where did I put it?" she started muttering "Davey jones cannot make port, cannot step on land but once every ten years. Land is where you are safe Jack sparrow so you will carry land with you," Jack took the jar of dirt and looked at it oddly "this is a jar of dirt," he said "Yes," Tia said, "Is the jar of dirt going to help?" I asked "If he doesn't want it he will give it back," she said amusement in her eyes "No," he hugged it close to him "Then it helps," she said.
