"Jack, how will we gather these 99 poor, unfortunate souls?" I asked (A/N: see what I did there? Eh? eh? no? okay) He started staring at a random spot on the deck. His black spot was gone, "Mr Gibbs?" Jack ignored me. "Aye?" Gibbs side-eyed me. "I feel sullied and unusual," he said still staring "Jack I asked you a question," I said annoyed at him for several reasons" Fortunately he was mum to the condition that these souls need be," he finalised while I watched the dutchman disappear beneath the waves" Ah Tortuga?" Gibbs asked "Aye," I said when Jack wiped his hand on Gibbs vest. "Tortuga," he murmured before walking off to his cabin. I tried to follow him "Jack? Jack!" I called after him receiving a door slammed in my face.

Gibbs sat at a table in the tavern, I sat on a chair only to nock some drunken men Unconcious who didn't know what 'no' ment occasionally. A few feet away Jack sat shaking his compass then glancing up at me then shaking it madly again. Occasionally I heard him mutter "I know what I want, I know what I want" Over and over to himself. I sipped on my rum as I saw someone approach the table. "And what makes you think you are worthy to crew the black pearl?" Gibbs asked. I zoned out too busy with the odd thoughts. 'You should kill Jack! He killed Will' one said 'no we can't we need him for revenge on Will and without Jack, you won't get Will back to piss off!' another reasoned  "Or maybe we don't kill him!" I said aloud ignoring the odd looks I got from Jack and Gibbs. ' we need him as a captain, without him we have no ship.' the first reasoned 'that is true!' the second said  "ugh!" I shouted gaining attention from surrounding men and women. "including that 4? that gives us 4," Gibbs sighed defeatedly. The lively music and chatter filled the air. Another man approached the table "And what's your story?" Gibbs asked smiling and leaning forwards slightly "My story..." The man trailed off, I know that voice. Oh shit. If it really was him we needed to get out of there. "Is exactly the same as your story just one chapter behind. I chased a man across the seven seas" Gibbs's face fell, he knew. I looked at Jack, we made eye contact and I wished he would get out of here. He snapped his compass shut and moved behind a plant pot. "The pursuit cost me my crew, my commission, and my life." Norrington picked up Gibbs rum bottle taking a swig. "Commodore?" Gibbs asked, I put my hand on the hilt of my sword. "Not anymore weren't you listening?" he grew angry "I nearly had you all off Tripoli," he moved closer and leant on the desk "I would have if not for that hurricane," Norrington spat bitterly "God you didn't try to sail through it did you?" I pipped up "oh hello dear Miss Turner," he mocked grimacing. "Not anymore, never was really. Pirate lord of the Mediterranean sea, Chevelle." I stood up flamboyantly bowing the placing a deep green hat I had found back on my head. "So am I worthy to sail under the command of Captain Jack Sparrow?!" He yelled making the entire tavern silent. Jack was halfway out shuffling behind the plant pot. "Or should I just kill you now?" he asked cocking his gun pointing it at Jack's head the crowd cleared a circle all watching the two men. I knew what he was going to do and I knew what I had to do. Jack lowered a leaf, "You're hired!" he said moving each side of the pillar the gun following him. "Sorry, old habits and all that," he said maliciously before firing the pistol. The bullet lodged itself in my forearm. "Son of a- OW!" I shouted at Norrington pointing my sword at him using my uninjured left arm. "YOU BLOODY SHOT ME!" I screamed. "JACK GIBBS RUN!" I shouted making them sprint out of the tavern me following. Despite the pain, I made it to the pearl obviously still in shock my breathing became ragged as I looked down at my heavily bleeding arm. "Are you okay?" Jack asked "Just peachy!" I replied. "You look like you are going to faint," worry lacing his voice. "Aww is Jackie worried about me? Yeah, you might want to catch me..." I trailed off before losing consciousness.

My eyelids fluttered open, I felt plush bed sheets beneath me. I shivered and pulled up the blankets. I looked around realising I wasn't in my cabin. I sat up with a start, observing my surroundings. The room spun and I heard a snore coming from next to me. I froze. I whipped my head around only to see it was Jack and I shouldn't have worried. I wanted to wake him up and ask how long I had been out but I didn't know the best way. I settled on holding the sharp end of my sword and using the hilt to poke him. It only took a couple of tries before he awoke "YOU SLIMY BASTARD BARBOSSA I'LL KEELHAUL YA!" he shouted, jolting. I jumped at the sudden noise, cutting my hand in the process. I pulled the sword back towards me, "Ah, you are awake, love" Jack murmured, "How long have I been asleep?" I asked "not long, a couple of hours maybe?" he said. It was still dark showing it only could have been 2 maybe 3 hours. I tried to get up and get out on the deck, "No you stay here love" Jack said slightly pushing me down. "I'm fine! I am actually fine this time!" I reassured, "Please stop getting shot, it gets bloodstains in the wood," he joked, "oh if YOU care so much!" I smiled he chuckled. I got up, putting my clothes on not really caring what Jack was looking at. I jammed my hat on my head and staggered to his 'secret' rum stash. "How do you?" he started "Easy!" I called over my shoulder" You really shouldn't be drinking after that!" I left the cabin and took a swig, the drink no longer burned my throat and was the most heavenly thing on earth. Crew Members went about their duty taking various barrels below deck. I walked down the gangplank onto the docks Jack followed behind with rum as well. A boy approached followed by Norrington "Captain Sparrow!" I took another swig. "Come to join my crew lad? Welcome aboard," Jack said, turning around to talk to Gibbs again. "I'm here to find the man I love," the person said. They had a high-pitched annoying voice and pronounced every word properly. "I'm deeply flattered son but my first love is the sea," he said, "Meaning William Turner, Captain Sparrow," she said, moving her hat. "Elizabeth" Jack muttered and turned to Gibbs "Hide the rum,"
