-Christian's P.O.V-
I groan out loud when I notice I'm out of chicken.
So now what do I make?
I close the fridge and shout into the living room, "Do you have a preference of what you want to eat?"
"Not really," he replies popping into view. He walks over to the counter and sits on a stool.
"How does..." I move the eggs and a carton of milk to reveal the back of my fridge.
I seriously don't have anything?
I check to top and bottom shelves, then scan the door. "A sandwich sound?" I finish defeated, pulling out some mayo.
"Fine," he hums resting his head on the counter inside the crook of his arms.
I grab the pot I used earlier and put it in the sink to clean the area up a bit. I turn on the faucet and let the water run into the pot, then add soap to it, watching the suds form.
"What was in there?" Kaydan asks peeking up from his arm cocoon.
"I made some pasta for lunch," I answer turning the faucet off and grabbing a knife from the drawer. I place it on the countertop and turn to reenter the fridge.
"Looks like it was pretty good," he laughs lightly.
"Yeah. Simon said it was too spicy though," I grin, "he ate it anyway. He's not the smartest."
"If you made it, it had to be good."
"I think it could've been better. I mean, when I cook for you I hope it's better," I sigh. "I don't have anything on me right now, so I'm sorry all I can make are sandwiches."
"I'm telling you it's fine! I'm curious as to why you decided to go all out for Simon. I thought you hated him."
"I do!" I combat slapping the meat and lettuce on the counter. I reach for tomatoes last and close the fridge door. "I had to suck it up after he helped me do some maintenance around the room though."
I hear him shift in his seat behind me. "Maintenance?"
"He just changed the smoke alarm batteries and air filters and stuff," I chop up the tomatoes and move them to the side. "So I made him food and let him use the shower to 'thank' him I guess."
"He had an extra pair of-"
"I let him borrow some of mine," I answer pulling on the lettuce.
"O-Oh...He sounds quite dependable."
I roll my eyes. "He was very pushy."
As I take the bread out of the bag Kaydan asks, "So you and Simon go to school together?"
"Yeah. We have classes together surprisingly, and he's a pain in my ass cause he won't leave me alone in most cases."
"That makes sense. You guys are spending most of your days together now. I didn't even know he talked!" He finishes laughing a little.
"Only to me and Mr. H..." I toss the tomato remains into the garbage. "It's so annoying! If he talked to other people he could have other friends and not hang around me all the time!"
