The pungent scent of blood assaulted their nostrils the moment they reached the gate. The slightly cool air of summer rattled the tall trees surrounding them. Jhope gripped his staff tighter as he walked unto the scene with Taehyung. He felt sick to his stomach at the sight. Beside him, Tae was also breathing heavily, trying to reign in his fury.

On the lush carpet grass now covered in crimson red stain, Jin lay unmoving; his clothes ripped apart. His open skin was covered in bruises and cuts so deep, his healing ability couldn't work properly. Three werewolves stood shell shocked, around him with bloody fangs.

They did this?

Jhope couldn't believe that these students had ganged up against Jin. It was incomprehensible how they could be so bold as to carry out the onslaught right outside the school gates.  Removing his eyes from the boy who was still bleeding on the floor, he eyed the crowd until his gaze fell on Min Si-An. Then, the pieces of the puzzle began to fit together in his head.

It had to be the delinquent.

Si-An was the son of famous lawyer Min Su-eon. Therefore, he never ceased to use every opportunity to display nonsensical tantrums in hopes that his mother would clean up his mess but Jhope was not having it this time.

It didn't matter if Jin was guilty or not, he wouldn't let anyone get away with harming the boy who had suffered enough. A part of him wanted to pull the boy in and squeeze the pain out of him but he couldn't; not yet. But he would protect him at all cost.

In that moment, it became clear why Jimin was so protective of the younger. Why wouldn't he? The boy had been persecuted over an issue that is not completely his fault. Even he had reservations pertaining to him. But now, it was replaced with an urgency to protect the younger.

Jhope pictured his brother in Jin's position, torn apart by foes, all in the name of justice. The thought made his stomach churn and he made a silent vow to protect the boy. There was no lifetime where he would stand for such brutality. He would level the entire scene to the ground if he was in his true form as a member of Cypher. But for now, let them taste the magnificent beauty of his fury.

"Namjoon, I need you out here. It's worse than we thought."

"Jungkook, come, help me take Jin to the infirmary."

Once Jhope was done talking to his team, he turned to Taehyung by his side but the other was already engaged. He was capturing the faces of the quivering students in a video. After all, they would need the identities of every cheerleader as well.

He noticed the three werewolves were still crowding Jin who lay unconscious. In fact, the other boys were still in their wolf forms and that irked Jhope so much. It was a direct disregard for him and the authority he possessed.

Jhope approached the boy, his heart pounding faster, probably from his comparison of Jin to his younger brother. He strained his ear to listen for a heartbeat but it was non-existent. Had they arrived too late? What had blocked Jimin's clairvoyance that he didn't pick the trail of danger on time? Too many questions plagued his mind; but for now, there were other important matters to settle.

He cast a glance at the wolves surrounding him and they retreated immediately. Their insolence, Jhope noted, would definitely not go unpunished. He crouched down in front of him and placed his hand on the younger's forehead.

He released a ragged breath when he felt the boy's pulse. Faint but present.

"Perhaps I am not making myself clear. I asked you, Si-An, to explain this barbaric display you have going on." His voice was thick with anger as he assessed Jin's body.
