"Did he answer?" Hoseok asks Jin as he watches him pacing around the room.
Jin shakes his head, "No, something must have happened to him. I'm so worried, Hobi."
Hoseok rolls his eyes, "Yeah, sure. The only thing that probably happened to him is that he panicked and ran away."
Jin looks at Hoseok with unshed tears in his eyes, "Please don't say that, he loves me, he wouldn't do that to me."
Hoseok walks to where Jin is and pats his shoulder, "I think you are the only one in love, we all told you he's a player. Jinnie, I don't think he's going to show up today."
Jin sits down and shakes his head, "No, no, no, do you know how much shit I'll go through if that happened? God, Dad will probably lose his shit!"
"Did you try calling his sister then? Do you know where he could be?" Hoseok asks.
"I did, she also didn't answer. Namjoon and Taehyung are already searching for him, I hope they find him, otherwise, I'm in big trouble." Jin answers.
"And what are they supposed to do if they found him? Kidnap him and force him to marry you?"
Jin rolls his eyes, "He probably just got cold feet, he loves me, if they found him, I'd reassure him and he'd get back for me."
Minutes later both Taehyung and Namjoon enter the room and the look on their faces isn't promising something good. Jin's heart is racing, he knows he's most likely screwed but he needs one of them to start talking before he loses his mind.
"What happened? Did something happen to Jaehwan" Jin asks.
Taehyung and Namjoon share a look before Taehyung starts talking, "We found him, he was staying at his cousin's apartment."
Jin stands and walks to Tae, "Why didn't you call me? I would've convinced him. He just panicked but he-"
Tae doesn't let Jin continue, "He firmly stated that he didn't want to get married, and said that he was pressured by you and his family. He also said that he was sorry and that he thought his love for you was enough to marry you, but it wasn't. He's not coming today, Jinnie." Tae finishes apologetically.
Jin lets himself fall in the bed as he groans loudly, "Dad is going to give me so much shit for this. God, he'll lecture me about my choices in life again and again."
Namjoon sighs and speaks up, "Is that what you're worried about? We all warned you about him and you stubbornly refused to listen to any of us, and you have the nerve to point fingers at uncle? When will you be responsible and-"
The door of the room is abruptly opened by Jin's father and he enters the room angrily, "Did that asshole of yours show up already?"
Jin refused to speak up and only hid his face under the pillow.
"He's not coming today, uncle." Namjoon tells him.
"Great, just great Seokjin. Another mistake that's going to get the public to talk." Hyunwoo tells him.
"How is it my fault that my fiancée ran away? And I don't see how my personal life is any of the public business." Jin says as he sits up on the bed and crosses his arms over his chest.
"Then why did you get them involved!" Hyunwoo yells at him. "Why did you have to invite the press if it's none of their business! When Seokjin, just when will you grow up? Where did I go wrong raising you? I gave you everything you needed and wanted! Why are you constantly giving me a hard time? When will you realize that your image is my image, your fuck ups affect me and affect the company? Is your goal to give me a hard attack? Is that what you're trying to achieve?" Hyunwoo finishes talking.
Jin looks down, not having any words to say after that. The room gets really quiet for a few seconds before Hyunwoo speaks again.
He looks at Taehyung, "Call Jungkook, tell him to come to Jin's room."
"Oh hell no! What does any of this have to do with him!" Jin tells his father.
Hyunwoo looks at his son sternly, "You shut up, you should be ashamed to speak up after what happened. Let me find a solution before the word gets out and we face another scandal."
****
They all hear a knock before the door gets opened, "You wanted me, uncle?" Jungkook asks Hyunwoo.
"Yes, Jungkook. Come in." Hyunwoo replies to Jungkook.
Jungkook enters and sits beside Hyunwoo and waits for him to speak up.
Hyunwoo sighs, he looks like he's ashamed of what he's going to say, "I don't think you're aware of what's going on, but Jaehwan is not coming today."
"So the wedding is going to be postponed?" Jungkook asks.
"No, Jaehwan is not coming at all, he's not going to marry Seokjin. I'm sure you know that a lot of press are invited and they're waiting for anything bad to write about Seokjin."
Jungkook nods his head, "Do you want me to figure something out and send them away?"
Hyunwoo gives Jungkook a weird look that Jungkook doesn't know what it means. "I'm afraid I'm going to ask something bigger."
Jungkook as well as everyone in the room look at Hyunwoo confusedly, waiting to see what he's going to say.
"I think that if this wedding ends up not happening today, no matter what we say, the press is going to write shit about Seokjin, which means that the company will also get its fine share of bad articles, and that will affect me, you, Namjoon, and Taehyung as well as everyone working under us."
Jungkook keeps on nodding his head, not sure where this is going.
Hyunwoo continues, "I think the only way for that not to happen, is if my son marries someone today, and if I'm being honest, the only person I could think of, the only person I could trust, is you, Jungkook." He looks at Jungkook hopefully.
Everyone in the room is stunned. They can't believe what they just heard.
Jungkook looks at him speechlessly, just staring at him wide-eyed, his mouth slightly open, not knowing how to respond to him. Jin on the other hand looks like he is having a heart attack.
