adololescence. a frame of about 9 years you dream of for your whole childhood, thinking you would be cool as those kids you see on tv, but you hate it when you're actually going through it. that was what was happening to alexa.

as a normal 17 years old girl, she used to spend major of her time in her room, scrolling through her phone, whether in silence or listening to music.

it was her way not to think about the reality that was beyond the walls of her room.

alexa was also a smart kid, she liked learning new things, but she hated studying. preciselly, she hated the pressure her parents put her in, without even noticing it.

alexa felt like her parents were always expecting she would ace all the tests with straight A's, so whenever she would get a grade lower than A, she would start paniking on how to say that to her parents.

alexa didn't hate being a teenager the 100% of the time, let's just say 99%. that little 1% was for her two best friends, vivi and scarlett. they had been best friends for 2 years now and they were all close to each other.

unlike the usual friendship, where they met in kindergarten and had been best friends for all their lives, alexa, vivi and scarlett met for the first time in freshmen year because of a few classes they had in common.

they used to sit next to each other during classes, talk about anything they felt like to, but they didn't feel like it was a hanging-out-after-school type of friendship.

there wasn't a particular reason, it was simply like that. or maybe there was. vivi and scarlett already had their separated groups of friends to hang out with after school. alexa hadn't.

it had always been like that, since elementary school she didn't really have a friend to count on outside the walls of the school.

when she walked out of every class, she would see little groups of girls talking to each other, organizing pajamas parties at their house, and she would feel bad for not getting invited, if not out of pity. but she had never accepted, not even once, because she felt uncomfortable.

the situation changed when she got in middle school. alexa met a really good friend, mary. they used to spend a lot of time together at each other's houses, talk about anything for hours and have fun.

alexa and mary shared some unique experiences, such as trying make up products for the first time, using their moms stuff, having their first real crush on two boys they shared some classes with, and their first kiss with them at 13.

at the end of 8th grade, alexa thought she might had finally found the friendship she had been looking for all those years, the one friendship that goes through the whole high school, that you can count on during the hard times, but it didn't really go as planned.

mary's parents had a job offer in a 5 hours distant city, so mary had to move out a month before high school would start.

that same year, alexa met vivi and scarlett. it took them quite some time to finally understand they really got along, not only inside the school walls, but especially outside.

vivi was the type of girl who was friend with everyone, she was a people person, whenever you saw her, she would always have a smile on her face. in particular, she had two group of friends, the one with all girls and the one with all boys.

even though she didn't want to admit it because she didn't want to create any drama, she got along better with the boys, because in her opinion there was less drama and troubles between them.

and that's exactly what happened: vivi's parents got divorced at the end of freshmen year, and the girls didn't really show support or love while vivi was at her lowest. luckly she had the boys group, especially drew, who she was friends with since they were kids.

on the other hand, scarlett had all girls best friends, which for the record alexa hated. they didn't do anything in particular, they simply gave off the vibes of fake people and she trusted her instinct. that's why maybe alexa didn't get along with scarlett in the first place, she thought she was that type of person as well.

then this happened: scarlett warned one of the girls about a boy because she was worried about his true intentions and they all got mad at her, leaving her alone, because they thought she wasn't loyal since she wasn't happy for her friend and her boy. unfortunately, scarlett had no one else.

and that's when they all realized the connection between them. all the three of them were at the lowest point of their lives, but they were there for each other. and since that moment nothing ever made them fall apart.

okaayy, well this is the first chapter of this new story, i hope you're gonna enjoy it. i went for a new style, i guess, so let me know if you're cool with it.
this is just a brief introduction of the main character(s). in the next one i'll add more people. the main male character should be inspired to vinnie hacker, again, but he can be also portrayed by whoever you'd like to.
