it had been already a week since alexa and scott met for the first time. they hadn't seen each other since then, because they didn't have a way to stay in touch: vivi was out of town, spending time with her dad and her sister, so alexa couldn't had used the excuse to go to vivi's and just randomly say to call the boys.
«ugh, why did he give me his lighter but not his number?!?» alexa thought.
for the following week, she had been using the pink lighter and every time she remembered about scott and without even realizing a smile took place on her face.
«no, lex, it's too soon to think about him in this way, you don't even know him!»
that's a sentence that alexa had often repeated in her mind lately. but she knew damn well that time wasn't a big matter whenever she had a thing with a boy.
this time it was different: alexa was constantly thinking about that girl's name that appeared on scott's phone.
she could have simply been his sister or a friend of his, who knows, but alexa was an overthinker, so she wasn't able to calm herself until she knew who that girl was.
a notification from her phone brought her back to reality and for a minute she stopped being paranoid.
bigmoore started following you.
as soon as alexa saw that name, her face turned a little confused. she didn't know anyone whose surname was moore. so she clicked on the profile just to find out it was austin, austin moore.
«i wonder what big stands for.» she thought and the second later she started laughing her ass off thinking about the answer to what she just thought.
she had just followed austin back, when a text from her friend scarlett arrived:
scarlett u have no idea what just happened
alexa uh what? should i be worried?
scarlett austin and scott just started following me!
«austin and scott?» alexa thought feeling a weird sensation in her stomach. why didn't scott follow her as well?
alexa was sure, or at least she thought she was, that she made a pretty good impression on scott, so she was confused, and also slightly disappointed.
she left her friend on read, even though it wasn't scarlett's fault at all. she didn't just feel like texting her back. she would have done it later.
alexa was just laying on her bed, overthinking about what her friend just said, when she heard her mom calling her from downstairs.
"lex! come here, i need you!"
she immediately stood up and reached her mom. she didn't like hearing her scream her name multiple times, so it was better be fast.
"what mom?" alexa said. "what's the problem?"
"no problem at all." her mom was grabbing her keys. "i'm gonna shopping with your aunt for my birthday party, and also some friends of your brother are coming over."
as soon as alexa heard her mom speaking, she had her eyes wide opened because she realized two things: she completely forgot her mom's birthday, which was in 3 weeks, and second of all, her brother's friends weren't calm guys, so that afternoon was gonna be a mess.
"yeah, right! your party.. uhm can't wait!" alexa hoped her mom wouldn't had noticed she forgot about it as her mom was getting out of the door. "but wait mom! i don't wanna stay alone with ian's friends."
"mhm yeah we're gonna talk about my party later and i don't wanna hear a word about your brother and his friends, just say hi and be kind, i'll see you later." her mom sent her a quick kiss and left.
alexa rolled her eyes and went straight to the kitchen to grab some food and drink to take to her room, since she didn't want to go there while there were 10 other boys in her house.
as she was opening the fridge door, she heard the door bell ringing.
«ugh, perfect timing as always» she thought as she went in the living room to open the door.
"okay listen, this is very important. we just finished our football training and we're exhausted and hungry." her brother, ian, said as he and his friends were entering the room.
"well, first of all, hi." alexa was slightly annoyed. "second of all, what should i do about it? just take something from the fridge and eat it, i'll be in my room."
"you don't understand." her brother said grabbing her arm before she could walk away. "please i'm begging you to prepare something, some sandwiches are fine!"
alexa couldn't believe to what she just heard. she knew her brother could do the bare minimum, or even less, but she didn't expect him to ask her to feed his friends.
"you're out of your mind, you can do it yourself, i'm grabbing some food for me and then i'm going straight to my room." alexa turned around. "and don't you dare call me when i'm there."
"please lex!" ian was begging her. "i'll cook for a week, but please there are my friends here and i don't wan-"
alexa stopped him before he could finish the sentence. at this point, whatever she could have said was useless, so she just rolled her eyes and started toasting some bread.
as she was impatiently waiting for the bread slices to be done, she saw a couple of ian's friends awkwardly entering the kitchen.
"hey, what's up?" alexa hinted a little smile to them to make them feel more comfortable. they were like younger brothers to her. ian was just a year and a half younger than alexa and so were his friends.
"uh, we were just wondering if we could borrow your phone charger." one of them said. "i forgot mine at home."
as much as alexa was tempted to say no, since she was very protective of her personal things, she simply nodded and said: "sure, it's in my room, you can go and take it."
"cool, thank you so much!" the guy said and the second later he disappeared with his friend.
alexa turned around to take the bread sliced from the toaster and a little laugh came out of her mouth thinking about the awkward situation of two seconds earlier and the guy's face.
a little noise behind her back brought her to the reality. alexa thought that the guy might had trouble in finding the charger, so she said: "if it wasn't next to my bed, it should be on desk."
she waited for a couple of seconds, but she didn't hear any response.
"uh do you want me to go there?" she asked as she was turning around just to find out it wasn't the guy she saw before.
it was another guy.
was he a friend of his brother? no way, she would have known.
"oh my god, what are you doing here?" alexa asked him surprised.
"c'mon are you not happy to see me again?"
