it had to be a freaking joke. everyone in that room knew damn well alexa was the least person who could play that game.

i guess everyone besides scott and austin, clearly, because they just met her a few days ago.

"uhm, thanks for the nice thought, but if i go first we're gonna lose for sure." alexa said as she was handing back the ping pong little ball to scott.

"asher told me you're not the best player, but i don't wanna listen to him." he gave me the little ball again. "i trust you."

in that moment she didn't even care about what asher said about her, she would have dealt with him later. the only thing alexa was  feeling was many butterflies in her stomach because of scott's kind words.

alexa hinted a little smile at him and the second later she turned to the right. in front of her there was drew. he was going first too.

"you better watch out!" she said giving drew a defiant look.

"trust me i know your moves." he giggled.

as alexa was about to say something back, she felt someone's presence right behind her: scott put his hands on her shoulders as if he was reassuring and hyping her up.

"blah-blah-blah." scott whispered to me. "you got this, just aim at the top paper cup, it's the easiest and for sure you're gonna make it."

she only nodded and re-thought about his words. they made sense, she just had to stick to them, hopefully she wouldn't mess up.

alexa grabbed the little ball and closed the right eye to get a better aim. it was simple: enough strength, not too much and not too little, aim at the cup and it was done.

she took a deep breath and without thinking about it too much, threw the ball hoping it would end in the cup that was at the top of the little pyramid on the table.

in that moment she simply felt like closing her eyes and waiting for asher's team to cheer.

but that was not what happened. as alexa heard austin, scott and vivi cheer up, she opened her eyes and turned towards them. did she really do it?

she quickly turned to check if the little ball was in at least one cup, it didn't matter which one, and it was! she did it!

"oh my god i can't believe it!" maybe she raised her voice too much but who cared. "call me «miss beer pong best player» from now on."

"i'll just stick to «lex». it's way cuter and it definitely suits you better." scott said looking at her and hinting a little smile.

"well thanks, i'll keep that in mind." alexa giggled.

"it's not even a big deal, we've been calling her like this for years now." vivi stated.

alexa turned towards her and looked at her for a couple of seconds. she seemed both pissed and ironic at the same time.

"dude i'm so fucking surprised." austin came next to alexa. "guess you're not that bad after all."

"wait you just listened to asher? you didn't even doubt he was messing up?" alexa pretended to be upset at him.

"c'mon you can't be mad at him, he doesn't even know you well, so calm down and let's keep going with the game."

again vivi looked annoyed. it seemed like everything alexa did or said, got her on her nerves.

she didn't even look at alexa while saying that, she simply grabbed the little ball and passed to scott, implying it was his turn now.

scott grabbed it and looked at alexa for a second, then he looked at the other side of the table and said: "uhm before going, drew has still to drink his cup."
