after a 10 minutes ride alexa and vivi spent listening to their friend complaining about how she would have preferred staying at home than seeing asher's dumb face, they arrived at his house.

"scar if you enter the house with that face, nobody's gonna talk to you." vivi looked at her friend through the rearview mirror.

"that's the whole point." scarlett said not even faking it.

"okay besides asher, i though you liked the other boys." alexa took off the seatbelt. "what happened?"

"i do, it's just asher." scarlett sighed. "i can't stand him."

"you can pretend for one night and be kind." vivi imitated alexa. "especially because we're in his house, so be thankful."

"as if it was my idea." scarlett rolled her eyes and then the three of them got out of the car.

the second later they were facing a big wooden door and knocked on it waiting for asher to open it.

as they did it, they could hear barking. "it must be milo!" alexa immediately thought.

"no way i'm getting in there." scarlett started backing off. "tell asher to keep him in his room and i'll be fine."

alexa and vivi looked at each other holding their laugh back. their friend had always been scared of dogs since she was a kid and whenever she would see even the smallest dog ever she would start freaking out.

"will do." the two girls said entering the door.

it wasn't the first time alexa had been at asher's, but everytime she felt surprised: his parents were both trustable and famous entrepreneurs and they were out of town most of the time, and that would mean being rich as fuck and, for asher's joy, having an entire house for himself.

it had four floors and a big garden with a basket thing, since both asher and his brother used to play basketball.

"hey girls, you're finally here!" the tall brown haired guy said as he saw vivi and alexa coming.

"of course, it wouldn't be the same without me." vivi joked as she went for a hug.

"don't be too confident in yourself, chill." asher said hugging her back. "hey lex what's up?"

the tall guy hugged alexa as well and she did the same: "what's up asher? it's been quite some time!"

"hmm yeah i guess it's been a year." asher said looking behind the girls. "one of you is missing, am i right?"

alexa was about to speak, when vivi anticipated her: "ding ding ding, scarlett will join us only if you put your dog in your room."

"ugh right!" asher sighed. "i can't believe she's scared of that dumb dog."

"hey be careful to what you say!" alexa defended milo. they had been in a happy 3 years relationship. she had to stood up for her boyfriend.

"please forgive me." asher shrugged. "i won't ever disrespect your boyfriend again."

as they said, asher took milo by his collar and after alexa cuddled him for some seconds, he put it in his room and locked the door.

now it was safe for scarlett to join them.

"thank you asher." she said as she entered the door with a not very friendly face.

the three girls and asher walked into the living room, finding all the other boys on the couch playing video games. same old story.

"the girls are here!" asher raised his voice getting everyone's attention.

alexa took a quick look at them all politely smiling and waved at them. despite she had been knowing them for a couple of years, she still felt that awkward shyness.

"heeey what's up!" they all said welcoming them. "now let's get the party started!"

alexa immediately looked at her two friends and they were the complete opposite: vivi was feeling herself, impatient to enjoy the night, while scarlett was for sure cursing in her head for being there.

"i've been waiting for this one!" vivi said excited.

"turn it up!" drew said recalling the tiktok reference.

"nah nah, keep this stupid thing out of it at least for tonight." austin said causing everyone to laugh.

"hey scarlett, babe." louis, asher's closest friend after drew, said getting closer to them. "don't show too much joy for being here, huh."

alexa giggled after hearing that. scarlett didn't even care to pretend to have fun in those kind of situations and the boys knew that, and they all enjoyed to tease her.

"what a pleasure to be here with you, lou!" scarlett faked a smile. "i'm here only because these two literally begged me."

louis shrugged and then hugged the two other girls: "thank god you two came at least."

alexa hugged him back and smiled: "we know we know! it wouldn't be the same without us."

"okay enough with it, now let me greet my best friend." alexa heard austin's voice.

she detached from the hug and expected austin to greet vivi, when she found him literally in front of her.

"how's my bestie doing?" he said placing one arm around her shoulders.

alexa kinda was surprised. besides, they only met few days ago, so she didn't expect that much affection, but she didn't mind though.

"oh hey, do you guys have to update us all on your status?" vivi joked causing everyone to say a loud "oooohhh"

"we wanted to keep this private, but yeah.." austin looked at alexa. "we're a thing."

alexa hinted a smile trying not to show the embarrassment, but on the inside she was blushing, a lot.

"nah bro you're making me cry." drew said pretend to wipe off a fake tear.

they all laughed, including scarlett, which was a big achievement and after that they all made theirselves comfortable on the couch.

alexa and scarlett took a seat on the left side of the couch, because there were the softest pillows, watching the boys screaming at each other for messing up in the video game, while vivi was sitting right next to drew.

if they hadn't made it clear more than once, everybody would think they were a thing, but they were just really good friends.

after some minutes where alexa would laugh her ass off watching them scream and slap theirselves, she realised scott was there too, but they didn't greet each other yet.

scott was right next to austin, focused on his phone and tapping insistently on the screen. he was so focused, he didn't even realise alexa was looking at him.

"i wonder what's going on." alexa thought in her head. she immediately shook her head trying to get that thought out of her mind.

she decided to just enjoy the night without overthinking, which was almost an impossible mission for her, but she was determined to stick up to her goal.

"okay guys!" asher raised his voice to get everyone's attention. "since i've noticed scarlett is getting bored, and i love her and i don't want her to regret coming here, let's do something fun."

"nah i'm having fun watching drew lose 1-11 against louis." vivi said causing drew to give her a death stare.

"i know, i find it funny too, but i think it's time for the game." asher said standing up.

everyone imitated him because they knew what was about to happen: they would have played beer pong, but instead of the beer, they would have  used some more alcoholic thing.

the fun was about to start.
