(Beth's P.O.V.)

I walked into Granny's, playing with the keys to my motor bike. I was waiting for Emma, 'cause she was helping me move my stuff over to her place. I pulled out my phone and texted her, "I'm here, are u?"

She soon texted back, "Already upstairs, Ruby's helping out. I'll be right down."

"Hey, Eliza," I heard. I looked up and saw Graham near the dart board.

"Ew!" I exclaimed and looked back down at my phone.

"Are you serious?" he asked. "Are you just never going to get over this?"

"No, I will eventually," I told him, "but until that day, I stand by my previous statement of 'ew'."

Then Emma walked I , saw Graham and paused awkwardly. She looked at my and said, "Eliza, lets get moving."

As we started towards the door, a dart flew in between our heads and stuck it's in the door frame.

I screamed and flailed, then clutched my heart and said, "Holy [insert swear word of your choice here]!"

Emma looked back at Graham and said, "Graham, what the hell?! That could've hit one of us!"

"I never miss," he told her.

"Dude, you scared the absolute crap out of me!" I screamed. "You are trashed, so go home before you almost-hospitalize anyone else!"

"Eliza, just go around to where Ruby is help load some stuff into the car," Emma told me.

"But--"

"Eliza, I will meet you at home," she told me sternly.

"Uuuuughh," I groaned as I stomped back to the hot half of the building.

"Ruby?" I called.

"Upstairs!" she yelled back.

I jogged upstairs and saw her pulling boxes out of my room.

"Here, I got it," I said, taking the box. "Nobody likes lifting heavy things while wearing stilettos. Might I suggest combat boots?" I recommended, holding my leg out. "Badass, yet comfortable."

She laughed. "Yeah, I-I'll think about that," she lied.

My smile started to falter as I saw her adjust her tied up crop top and struggle to bend down and pick up a box labeled "clothes".

"Why do you dress like that?" I asked.

"Why do you dress like that?" she retorted, fortunately, not offended.

"Because this is me. This expresses who I am. This--This isn't you, and I know it," I told her.

"Well, I like these clothes," she said.

"We both know that's a lie," I said.

"What if this is who I am? Maybe I like people treating me the way they do now," she told me. "I get lots of guys."

"Ruby, guys look at you like an object, a piece of meat!" I told her. "And you are so much more than that! You don't need to objectify yourself for anybody!"

"Eliza, it's my life!" she told me, but she looked kind of sad.

"Ruby, does anyone besides me know that you're a virgin?" I asked.

"No," she mumbled.

"What kind if life is lying about having sex so people will like you?" I asked. "All I want is for you to be happy, because you're like a sister to me."

She didn't say anything, just looked down at her shoes.

I sighed.

"Let's just take this stuff to the car," I said, bringing the box downstairs.

"I'm sorry," Ruby said.

"It's okay, you're right," I told her. "It's your life."
