(Eliza's P.O.V.)
I couldn't sleep that night. I just couldn't believe that I had a true love in Neverland, possibly millions of miles away. My mind was racing. What did he look like? What did his voice sound like? I wonder if he was like he was in the movies and stories. I mean, I know from the book that he was evil, which sucked, but I also knew that when I was with him he started turning good. Was he still good?
I got out of bed and started pacing, wearing just a simple black tank top and blue and white striped pajama shorts. I got annoyed with my hair falling in my face, and tied my hair back in a sloppy bun. Then I got annoyed with my bun, and pulled it out. I walked around my suite, rubbing my temples. I was starting to get a headache.
I still had Henry's book. I almost forgot. I ran to the couch that had my bag on it with the book inside. I pulled it out and looked for anything about Peter Pan. I found a picture of a black figure with glowing white eyes.
"What the hell..." I mumbled, and skimmed the page. It was a shadow. A shadow without a body, that used to be the guardian of Neverland or something. Now it's Pan's. I started mumbling out loud.
"Collects children from their homes.....the ones that feel lost.....when they call 'I believe,' " I read out loud. I read it over and over. It started getting stuffy, plus I'm gross and I sweat when I get stressed. I don't think it smells, but it's still gross, so I turned down the heat and opened my windows. I walked around reading the book. I look for "Pirate Princess" or "Lost Girl" or anything like that. I found a picture of me when I was probably like, nine or ten. I was running through the woods in a big beautiful ball gown and silver slippers. I had hip length long black wavy hair. Then there was a picture of me, wearing a simple white skirt, a white corset and white blouse; undergarments, I put together, since the same dress from the previous picture was lying on the ground next to me but it was ripped up. I was sitting on a log on the edge of a large forest, next to a town. I was cutting off sections of my hair with a broken axe blade. The rest of the axe was still in the log. I read for something about that.
" 'She may have been young, but she was a clever girl, and she knew that her father would be sending knights to search all the nearby towns, villages and kingdoms for his daughter's retrieval,' " I read to myself. " 'So she took of her beautiful silken ball gown, made for her only by the most impressive tailors, and tossed it aside. She regrettably chopped off her hair with the broken, rusty blade of an abandoned axe she found in a rotting oak log. It was just sharp enough to cut her thick hair. It was a very bad job, but it was good enough.
"'Elizabeth knew that the king would send only the bravest knights to find her. But she only knew few of the knights in her father's court. If she was lucky, all they had to go on was a vague image of her from their memory. They would be looking for princess dresses and long curly hair. And she was growing rather quickly recently, so hopefully if they did find her, she could pass off as a peasant woman, because though she was only ten, she looked much more mature and beautiful.
"'Back at the palace, the king knew he had to find his daughter so she would marry the prince that asked for her hand. He had heard of an imp-like man who could perform magic more powerful than anybody else in all the land. His name was Rumplestiltskin, the Dark One.' The little elf dude who ripped himself in half when that miller's daughter guessed his name?" I asked myself.
"'The king pleaded with Rumplestiltskin to bring back his daughter. He told him he could, but only for a price, as of course, all magic comes with a price. His price was access to the royal family tree.' Why do you want to know my family tree Rumple?" I yelled. "'But when Rumplestiltskin found out who Elizabeth's mother was, he called off the deal. The king asked why and Rumplestiltskin told him that Elizabeth's mother was cursed by a witch, and that all she could produce was ugly, evil witch and warlock babies. She came to Rumplestiltskin as well, seeking a cure. The spell had no cure, but Rumple could lessen it. Her children would not be ugly, or evil. In fact, they would be beautiful and kind hearted. But they would hold a power inside them their whole lives.
