"Hey, Bam?" I finally got in after entering the code that Bambam gave me for his apartment. As I walked inside, I was greeted by complete silence. I almost assumed that no one was home, but Bambam texted me that he is here. I have no idea where he is or if he even heard me come.
As I waited for him in the living room, I placed my shoulder bag on the sofa. One thing that caught my eyes was the bottles of empty alcohol placed on the top of the counter. I didn't cared much about it because, Bambam already appeared all dressed up.
"Hey, you should've told me you arrived. I didn't quite heard you," he smiled at me. I nodded and was about to hug him when he drew me in for a kiss on the cheeks.
I was taken aback by his actions. I've always noticed how touchy he is with me and assumed it was just his way of showing affection to me as a friend. I must admit, being with him makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes.
"Yeah, I thought you were showering, and I didn't want to bother you." I replied with a smile.
"I was just fixing my luggage. Did you eat yet?" he asked as he walks to the kitchen.
I followed him there. He searched for something inside the refrigerator.
"Yep. I already did." I simply answered.
"How about a glass of wine?" he asked, smiling as he handed me the wine glass.
"I can't drink, Bam. I still need to go home. I'm sorry," I politely declined his offer to drink. My response caused him to frown. He couldn't hide the look of disappointment on his face.
"We won't get drunk, I promise. That's the only request I have before I leave for good." He gave me those puppy eyes, which made it harder for me to resist him.
"Okay fine! Keep your promise, okay? The twins are waiting for me at home." I surrendered.
I would feel terrible for the rest of my life if I let him go without even spending time with him. Bambam is one of the few people I could say I trusted. We've known each other for six years now. I met him the moment I stepped foot on the premises of the company where I worked in New York.
He was the last person I expected to be friends with, to be honest. He has this solemn expression on his face that made me feel very uneasy before. Surprisingly, he was the one who approached me. I swear, his face isn't the same as his attitude.
He is a funny person. Everyone at the company adores him because, he always jokes around. He has a very upbeat attitude. He is just really annoying sometimes but, he is a good friend of mine.
"Here," he said, handing me the glass of red wine. Because my mind was preoccupied with thoughts, I didn't notice him pouring the wine for me.
"Thank you," I said, taking a sip.
"What were you thinking?" he inquired as we sat on the chairs at his kitchen table. He was staring at me as if I am the only person he sees. When we're together, I always feel his meaningful stares. I just don't want to make assumptions and ruin our friendship.
"Nothing! I just realized we've been friends for years now. I can still remember how cold you looked the first time I saw you. Who would've thought we'd be friends?" I laughed lightly.
"Why? Did you regret adding me to your friends list?" he chuckled with me.
My head shook. "Silly! Of course not! I am really happy that I let you into my life, and I am truly grateful to you, Bambam."
He tilted his head and looked at me in the eyes. His eyes are far too private. I have no idea what he is thinking right now. He appears to have something to say to me.
