He felt solid ground under his feet, and gently set Penelope down onto the ground.

"You okay shrimp?" He asked her, checking her over to make sure everything was there.

She nodded at this, clutching her stuffed platypus to her chest.

"Alright Treebeard." (Y/n) said opening his arm.

Treebeard give him an affirmative chitter. (Y/n) pulled open his rucksack, waving his hand and setting the tent up, before walking in a large circle around the tent muttering protective incantations.

They were standing in a small clearing in a forest (Y/n) had camped in once with his dad and brothers.

"Come on shrimp." (Y/n) said, after having finished setting up the protective spells, sticking his hand for her, which she took.

"Where are we big brother?" Penelope asked him as they entered into the tent.

"A little forest near where I used to live. I went camping here with my dad and brothers once." (Y/n) explained to her, as he busied himself making a sandwich for her.

"What are they like? And where are they?" Penelope asked her, sitting on one of the chairs her legs swinging in the air.

(Y/n) felt a twinge in his heart. "They were... well they were family we fought sometimes but they were always there for me... er well usually anyway." He placed the sandwich in front of Penelope who quickly started to eat it.

"Slow down there shrimp, you'll give yourself a stomach eating that quickly." He told her with a laugh. She just stuck her tongue out at him.

"Hey Treebeard." (Y/n) told him, scooping him out of his arm and placing him on the table. "Think you could do us a favour? There should be a town nearby, think you could pop over and see if you could get us some money? And maybe a paper if you can get one, one with moving photos alright?"

Treebeard saluted him, before jumping off the table and hopping to the tent entrance.

"Wait up!" (Y/n) called to him, tossing him a mint. "For the road." He told him, before Treebeard hopped out of the entrance.

The rest of the night was spent playing games and laughing, and before long it was alright dark outside.

"Come on shrimp it's time for bed." (Y/n) said, magically lowering her back to the ground, as he had been levitating her into the air.

"Aww do I have to?" Penelope asked him, looking at him with large pleading eyes.

"Not gonna work on me shrimp." (Y/n) said with a laugh. "Now go grab Benny and then it's time for bed alright?"

Penelope nodded at this, running into the kitchen to retrieve a slightly soggy Benny, no wonder he was only half an hour ago he was exploring the deep dark sea in the kitchen sink, and ran back.

(Y/n) lazily waved his hand, siphoning the water out of Benny, leaving him good as new.

(Y/n) lifted Penelope up into his arms and carried her over to the bunk beds, gently setting her into the bed, and pulling the covers up to her chin.

"Can you tell me a story (Y/n)?" Penelope asked, as she pulled Benny closer to her, squeezing the stuffed animal in her arms. She looked at him with large excepting eyes.

"Uh a story... a story... alright I've got one for you shrimp." (Y/n) said waving his hand and magicking a chair towards him, taking a seat so that he was closer to her level.

"Alright shrimp, this is a story about magic and wonder!" He said moving his hand through the air, conjuring sparks as it moved.

"Where to start?" (Y/n) muttered to himself.
