Chapter 58: A New House

It had been three months since the battle of Hogwarts, and during that time he'd gotten a lot done.

He'd traveled with Hermione to Australia, where they were able to find her parents and bring back their memories.

After that they had returned, they had a lot of business they needed to attend to. Hermione went back with her parents, taking Penelope with her, while (Y/n) had returned to his old house... or at least where it used to be.

"Well here we are." (Y/n) said, pulling his new car into the old driveway, looking at the burnt remains of his house.

"I didn't realized you lived this close (Y/n)." Luna said from the passenger seat looking around.

"Yeah I lived here since my mum died." (Y/n) told her, getting out the car, his silver arm gleaming in the sunlight.

"It's a nice place." Luna said looking more at the forest around the clearing, pulling on her specterspecs. "Not a lot of Nargles here."

(Y/n) chuckled at this as Treebeard crawled out from his arm, and perched himself on (Y/n)'s head.

"Why hello there little one!" Luna said to Treebeard, patting him on the head. Treebeard chirped happily, he'd taken a real shine to Luna as had Penelope.

"How's the little Humdinger doing?" Luna asked, as that was her nickname for Penelope.

"She's with Hermione right now." (Y/n) told her as he walked around what remained the house, surveying it. "She been pretty good, she started showing signs of magic a few weeks ago."

"Do you get to see her a lot?" Luna asked as she poked a rock with her wand.

"I go see her everyday." (Y/n) said as he completed a lap around the house. "They should be here soon." He said looking at his wrist watch.

"How has Hermione been?" Luna asked, as she sat down in the grass.

"She's good, McGonagall allowed us to go back finish our final year if we wanted too, Hermione already said she would of course."

"And you? I'd love to have been in school with you for another year."

"I'm thinking I will" (Y/n) said resting on the bonnet of his car. "It'd be nice to get a bit of a rest before the chaos of finding a job."

There was a moment of silence before (Y/n) broke it. "Hermione and I have started filling out the adoption forms for Penelope."

"Ah how exciting." Luna said looking at him

"Yeah and we were wondering if you would be the godmother, you know in case anything happens, plus she really likes you." (Y/n) said to her.

"It would be an honor (Y/n)." Luna told him, smiling widely.

"How are you and Neville doing anyway?" (Y/n) asked her, he knew the two of them had gotten together in the latter part of the battle.

"Neville? Oh we've gone our separate ways." She said staring up at the sun as if it were nothing.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." (Y/n) said walking over to her and pulling her into a hug.

"Oh it's no bother really, we just weren't on the same page." But before (Y/n) could question this there was a loud cracking sound as Kreacher appeared before them, bowing deeply.

On either side of him, clad in brilliant crimson suits, stood Fred and George.

"Master has sent these for you" Kreacher said stepping aside to reveal a large pile of lumber and stone, along with various other materials.
