Spells shot in all directs, jets of brilliant reds and greens flashed through the air. The Death Eaters were taken aback by the strength of the resistance. (Y/n) saw as the people who had left the stores to listen had drawn their wands as well fighting against the Death Eaters.
"We've got this!" (Y/n) cried, stunning a Death Eater, and sending another rocketing across the street.
One of the beggars that did not get a wand jumped onto a Death Eaters, shoving their thumbs into their mask eyeholes, before pulling their wand away from them and stunning them.
"Don't let up!" (Y/n) shouted, kneeing a Death Eater down below, and stunning another. "We've got this!"
He felt a heaven blow of his stomach as a large brute of a man tackled him to the ground. (Y/n) felt the air leave his lungs as he hit the ground.
He lay on the ground dazed for a second, before a hand grabbed him beneath his arms, pulling him to his feet.
"You alright?" Hermes asked him, sending a fire ball at an advancing Death Eater.
"Yeah m'alright." (Y/n) replied, wrapping a Death Eater in ropes, causing them to fall to the ground and be dragged off by two beggars.
"Why am I not surprised you managed to start a revolt?" Hermes said, disputing another two Death Eaters with well aimed stunners.
"Just my natural charisma I guess." (Y/n) told her, jabbing his wand into a Death Eater's throat and kneeling them in the stomach.
"They just seem to keep coming!" Hermes told him, sending a flock of birds to attack a nearby Death Eaters, pulling back her wand to call the birds back to her.
"They must be using the shops as safehouse, probably those new dark arts ones." (Y/n) reasoned, and sure enough as he watched, another couple Death Eaters ran out of a nearby shop. "I've got an idea!" (Y/n) said, pointing his hand at the nearest store full of Death Eaters.
A large stream of fire shot from the tip of his wand, ingulfing the building in flames. "That should stop them!" (Y/n) cried, over the cheers of the crowd.
"Still the same as ever." Hermes said with a small sad smile. "There are still more of them though." She added, locking a Death Eaters legs together, causing them to fall over unable to get up, as a group of the beggars pounced on them.
"Lot more viscous than I thought they'd be" Hermes commented, as another Death Eater was dragged off. "Never seen them like this before, usually they would just take whatever punishment the Death Eaters would give them."
"Yeah well eventually people get tired of being kicked around and treated like shit." (Y/n) said, encasing a Death Eaters head in snow, before magically sending them flying into the crowd, knocking over more of them.
"I think it's you (Y/n)." Hermes said, blasting a Death Eater off of a nearby beggar, and magically healing their wounds. "You've given inspiration and hope to these people, they'd given up on everything, you've inspired them to fight once more, if only that had happened before..."
The rest of Hermes words however, were drowned out by the sound of a loud explosion, as the front wall of a nearby shop was blasted to dust, revealing a plethora of Death Eaters inside.
(Y/n) sent another stream of fire towards them, creating a wall between the street and the inside of the shop, before setting another store on fire. At this point there were only a few dark art shops not in flames, and the number of Death Eaters were starting to dwindle.
"Hold them off just a bit longer!" (Y/n) heard a Death Eater shot over the sounds of fighting. "He'll be here soon!"
(Y/n) knew that they were talking about Voldemort, and he knew once he arrived they would lose the fight. He conjured a large wall of fire right in front of the Death Eaters to prevent them from getting to them, before turning to Hermes.
