"Twenty three, twenty four, twenty five pounds and thirty seven pence." (Y/n) said counting bills and coins. "Good job Treebeard!" He told him, putting the money into his pocket.
Recently he'd been going into the nearby town with Treebeard, sending him into various stores to nick a little bit out of the tills.
"Oh come on." (Y/n) said as Treebeard gave him a disapproving look. "It's only a little bit form each of them, enough to help us get some necessities, but not enough for them to realize, it just looks like a mistake."
Treebeard glared at him. "Looks we'll get something nice for you, I know you like those little mints." Treebeard sighed at this, rolling his eyes.
"What do you don't want any then?" (Y/n) asked him, to which Treebeard gave him a look that clearly said 'I never said that.'
"Typical" (Y/n) muttered under this breath, putting one quid aside for Treebeard.
"Well we better get going then." (Y/n) said sticking his arm out for Treebeard to climb into.
"Comfy in there?" He asked closing the little door and pulling his sleeve down. "Alright we've uh... earned about sixty quid, should be enough for some new clothes, some food, soap, shampoo and of course your mints." He said as he walked out of the tent and into the surrounding woods.
They walked for a little bit, (Y/n) just talking away to Treebeard, until they reached the edge of the town.
"Sorry I gotta shut up now buddy." (Y/n) whispered to his arm before walking into the town.
. . .
He spent a little bit of time perusing various stores here and there, buying some clothes, a rucksack, some food, soap, and of course those little mints Treebeard loved so much.
"Not too bad eh not too bad." (Y/n) murmured so only Treebeard could hear him. "Got those mints for you, and we even had some money left over for a couple bags of prawn cocktail crisps."
He felt his arm shake slightly as Treebeard moved around inside it. "Yeah yeah I know you don't like them but I do so settle down. Shit." He muttered as he saw two men clad entirely in long black robes, the hoods of their cloaks pulled up covering their faces.
A few people on the streets stopped to look at them but most just ignored them going about their everyday routine.
"This way." (Y/n) murmured ducking into a back alley, tapping his rucksack with his wand, making it larger on the inside, shoving his shopping into it.
He waited apprehensively, his new wand clutched in his hand, feeling warm to the touch.
"Reckon we lost them?" He muttered, jumping when someone replied to him.
"No I don't think you have!" A Death Eater said from behind him, spending a jet of red light at him.
(Y/n) was only just able to jump out of the way, rolling as he hit the ground and jumping back to his feet, sending a ball of fire towards the death eater, who deflected it sending another spell towards him.
(Y/n) ducked as the wall behind him exploded. He rolled behind a bin, ducking under it for cover. He waited for a second, before he heard the death eater scream.
"AHH What the hell is this thing! Ger it off, Ger it off!"
(Y/n) sprang up from the behind the bin, to see Treebeard was climbing on the death eater's head, clawing at his face with his long sharp finger.
"Stupefy." (Y/n) cried pointing his wand at the death eater, who fell to the ground unconscious, Treebeard still crawling over his face.
"Hell yeah Treebeard!" (Y/n) said to him, high fiving him, before scooping him up and placing him back into his arm.
