She stands there, trapped in a room. One man on her right, one on her left holding her arms back. One stands behind her, holding her head and forcing her to look. Look at the love of her life strapped to a chair, getting his memories wiped away.

He screams and it breaks her heart. All she wants is to run to him and stop whatever it is causing him pain, but she can't.

Then, the screaming stops.

His eyes look lifeless almost. If it wasn't for his chest rising and falling, anyone would think he's dead. He's not Bucky anymore. He's the Winter Soldier.

One man starts speaking Russian. He speaks it back. Then one points at her and in English he says, "kill her."

The Winter Soldier stands up and walks towards her. She blinks out of her haze and gets out of the men's grips before bolting out of the room.

She knows she won't be able to outrun him. She knows she done for. Unless a miracle happens, she's dead.

A few seconds later, he's right behind her. Grabbing her arm, he throws her back. She weakly gets up. Sure she's beaten Bucky in a fight several times. Even when he didn't go easy on her. But this isn't Bucky Barnes.

This is The Winter Soldier.

The odds of her beating him are slim and she knows that. Yet she does it anyways. It's better to try than to give up. Maybe a miracle will happen and she'll be saved.

So, she kicks him, he doesn't have time to block it and takes it to his stomach. He throws a punch with his metal arm, barely grazing her cheek. She grabs ahold of his metal arm and uses it as leverage to double kick his stomach, sending him a few feet back.

He grunts in frustration before attacking her again. This time, he gets a hold on her throat and pushes her against a wall. She tries to gasp for air, but none comes in. Bringing her right leg up, she kicks him in the balls. He lets out a strain groan.

Releasing her throat, she gets as far away from him as she can. Hiding in a room, she tries to keep her breathing quiet, but it's hard since she's not getting a lot of air at the moments.

Grabbing a metal pipe, she hides next to the door. The idea of hurting the man she's sworn to never hurt in her life makes her feel ill. But then again, this isn't her Bucky.

The door handle jiggles before the door is kicked down. Not waisting a minute, she swings the pipe at him— hitting him square in the face. Blood flows out of his nose as he regains his focus again, only to be hit again by the pipe.

After he finally figures out what's happening, he grabs the pipe from her and rips it out of her hands— tossing it to the ground. "Bucky," she says softly. He ignores her as he moves closer to her.

"I really don't wanna fight you," she says. Again, he ignores her and walks closer to her. "Please Bucky," she says.

He grips her throat with his metal hand and squeeze tightly. She gasps and hits at him, trying to free herself from his grasp.

Air seems to disappear from her. She can't get any in. He pulls out knife from one of his holsters and stabs her.

Dropping his hold around her throat, he rips the knife from her and watches as she falls to the ground. Blood pouring out of her lifeless body.

"Hey Bucky, wake up," an echo surrounds the room. He looks around confused. "Bucky wake up."

"Bucky, wake up. It's just a dream," Steve says as he wakes Bucky up. He gasps as his eyes shoot open and he sits up. Looking around, his senses come back to him. The events of his dreams still playing in his mind.

He looks at Steve with tears in his eyes. "Hey what's wrong? What was the nightmare?" Steve asks.

"It was her again Steve. It was me killing y/n," Bucky says as tears fall down his face. Steve wraps his arms around Bucky, trying to comfort his best friend as he relived one of the most traumatic things he ever went through.

Hydra was a lot for him, but killing y/n, the love of his life, will always haunt him. In his eyes, that's unforgivable.
