Me and Scott talked about the show the whole car ride there, time went by fast as we quickly reached his house. His house was nothing out of the ordinary, average size, what I would expect. We pulled into his driveway and I followed him inside.
The house was kept neatly. The living room and the kitchen were both so clean compared to my place. We were like opposites. I noticed his couch was pretty small, though. It was made for two people but me and Scott world certainly be pretty close. I sat down on the couch and Scott did the same.
"I'm so excited for this episode! This is where we find out if it's Vlad's baby!" I said cheerfully. Scott let out a chuckle and relaxed his body into the couch. The two of us were inches apart, and I couldn't help but slightly blush.
"Yep, I heard this is supposed to be pretty good." He said calmly. The show came on and we both switched our focus towards the TV.
Most of the time, it was silent. But every once in a while, I'd catch Scott's attention elsewhere. He had a mask on, so I couldn't tell what he was staring at, but it was something in my direction. I couldn't help but wonder what he was looking at, but my focus went back towards the show.
Once the show ended, the time was around 9 AM. I looked up at Scott who seemed pretty tense, different from earlier, although I couldn't read his facial expressions I could tell he felt nervous.
"That was amazing! Probably my favorite episode!" I said trying to calm him down.
He relaxed again, "Yeah, me too." His gaze shifted towards me again.
"Well, I should probably get going so I will be awake for our shift tonight, we should do this again sometime, though." I said the last part more quiet, fearing rejection, but I noticed Scott's body spring up when he heard the last part.
"I agree! I'll see you tonight, Y/N." He said quickly.
I walked out of his house with a smile on my face. On the way to his house, we discussed the fact that I live right near Scott, about 5 minutes walking distance so I decided I would walk home. He seemed slightly disappointed when I mentioned this in the car, but he agreed.
When I arrived at my house, I sat down on my bed and checked my phone one last time. Only to see a text from one of my co-workers, Jeremy.
Jeremy: Hey Y/N, how was your shift?
Y/N: Pretty scary, but Scott helped with that.
I chuckled thinking about Scott again.
Jeremy: Yeah he helped me too. Too bad he only helps the first and second night, though.
I was confused by what he said because Scott was coming back with me tonight.
Y/N: What do you mean?
Jeremy: Scott's only there to help the night guards the first or second night. It's the only time boss puts him on the night shift, willingly.
Y/N: He doesn't get put on any other night?
Jeremy: No. The rest of the nights he guides you through the phone.
I was left confused when I said my goodbyes to Jeremy. Then why was Scott coming to work with me again tonight?
