Scott and I had arrived at the cafe we decided to go to in the car. We made small talk in the car, but it was nice to have Scott back to normal. Although, he still seemed nervous. Which I assumed was for the date.
Scott held the door open for me, which I thanked him for in return. We made our way inside the cafe and sat in a booth. The waiter quickly made his way over here and asked for our beverage orders, Scott ordered coffee, while I ordered (f/d). The waiter nodded as he walked away, getting our drinks.
"So, is Vincent coming tonight?"
"Thankfully not. I don't even know why he came last night." Scott groaned in annoyance.
"The boss didn't put him on last night?" I asked.
"No. The night shift is usually a one person job, but he heard I was coming with you and wanted to join..." Scott answered awkwardly.
"Why would he want to join?"
"Cause he's Vincent." The two of us broke into laughter. As soon as that had ended, the water came back with our orders, before asking what the two of us wanted to eat. Scott and I placed in our food orders as the waiter wrote it down and walked away. Scott seemed to want to say something, but held himself back. I was curious what he wanted to say, but I didn't want to make things awkward, so I started a new conversation.
"How do you know so much about the animatronics?" I did want to know the answer to this question, but this was my attempt to stop the awkwardness.
"I've been working at Freddy's for a long time. I was put on the night shift a lot. I figured things out quickly, until the accident..." Scott's last sentence was quieter than the others.
"Accident..?" I asked hesitantly.
"On my fifth night, the animatronics got into my office and attacked me. Luckily, the bell rang 6 AM before they could stuff me in a suit. However, I still have scars..." Scott looked down at the ground, seeming ashamed. I tried to comfort him, but I knew he was upset.
"That must've been so traumatic, Scott. I'm sorry for asking..."
"It's okay. I just want to make sure that doesn't happen to you." He looked back up at you, and you put a reassuring smile on your face.
"It's why I wear the mask..." Scott looked out the window this time, ashamed.
"Scott, you don't have to hide under the mask..." I tried to reassure him without mentioning how attractive he was.
"It's bad, Y/N." He answered with a sad tone.
"Scott, your the cutest one here. Besides, with or without the mask, I'll always be there for you." Scott looked back at you in shock. I blushed in embarrassment realizing what I had just said. Scott seemed to take notice.
"Cutest one here?" Scott asked flirtatiously.
"Um...yeah?" I answered unsurely.
"I don't know about that. There's a real cutie sitting across from me." I blushed madly at the compliment. While Scott chuckled. After the moment, Scott sighed and put his hands on the mask.
"Promise you won't judge?" I was shocked at what he was about to do.
"Y-yes!" I answered gratefully. Slowly, Scott lifted the mask from his head and what was revealed under the mask, was a absolutely stunning man.
