Scott quickly realized what he had done, and rushed off Vincent to retrieve the photo. I awkwardly looked away from the sight as Scott crouched down to retrieve it. He hurriedly put it back in his shirt pocket and went back to the cams.
"You have anything to say for yourself, Scotty?" Vincent purred out, breaking the silence.
"Um..." Scott looked flustered and he sat in the office chair awkwardly, thinking of a response. I was confused as to why he would bring a picture of me to work. Especially curious about him having a photo of me...even I awaited for Scott's response.
We were interrupted by Bonnie standing at the door. I hadn't realized and I saw Scott spring out of his chair and rush over towards me. I was confused at his intentions but realized he was aiming for the door. He shut it just before Bonnie entered and my eyes shot wide open. We were just moments away from dying...
I stood there in total shock as Scott flickered the lights on and off. I fell into a panic, I was a little traumatized by what had just happened and I felt guilty. I could've just caused everyone's death... my breathing quickened and and I started to slowly hyperventilate. When my breaths grew louder Scott's attention shifted towards me and he noticed my panicked state. Vincent noticed as well, but kept his eyes on the cams, watching out for others.
"Y/N, it's okay. They didn't get in." Scott attempted to reassure me, but I couldn't stop myself. He turned his gaze from me for a second and flickered the lights. Bonnie was gone. He opened the door which only set me into a deeper panic.
"No! Don't open the door!" I tried to push the button but Scott stopped me. He grabbed my hands and held them inside of his. He then pulled me into a tight hug and I put my head into his chest. His head was on my shoulder and we stayed there for a while, until my breathing slowed down and I relaxed.
"Thank you, Scott." I said finally pulling away from him.
"Don't thank me, Y/N, there's no reason to worry. I won't let anything happen to you." I put a smile on my face and stared at Scott for a while. He did the same. Our staring was interrupted by the 6 AM bell and Vincent walked by us.
"Hate to ruin the moment, but our shift is over." He chuckled as he walked out the door.
Scott stood there awkwardly, seeming to be thinking about what happened earlier.
"Hey Scott, why do you have a photo of me..?" I finally let out. Scott placed his hand around his neck and rubbed it awkwardly. He sighed before answering.
"I just like having a reminder of you..." I couldn't help but blush. It was adorable, but I didn't fully understand what he meant by that.
"Here." I grabbed a the silver heart shaped necklace from my neck and gave it to him. His arms quickly fled from his neck and he grasped the necklace. He looked at it for a moment, and then put it around his own neck. He grabbed onto it as he stared back at me.
"I love it." Scott spat out in a cheerful tone.
"Good! Now you'll have a reminder!" Scott chuckled warmly, and I did the same.
"Thanks, but I'm still gonna carry the photo around. Now I just get more of you!" My cheeks flushed with red.
"But what about Vincent?"
"I don't care what that purple man thinks." Scott answered.
"Alright, I'll see you later Scott-" I got interrupted by Scott. He grabbed onto my wrists so I couldn't walk out.
"Wait, Y\N. I know Vlad and Clara isn't on today, but do you still want to hangout?" A smile pastured my face.
"Yeah, of course! What do you have in mind?"
"Well, um, do you maybe want to go to get something to eat. Together?" He stuttered slightly at the words, was he trying to ask me out?
"Like a date?" I answered playfully. Scott stood there awkwardly.
"Uh! I mean- Only if you want... " his hand clenched the heart shaped necklace tightly and I couldn't help but grin.
"Sounds good to me!" I giggled and walked towards the door. Scott quickly followed behind me and matched my speed. We walked out of the pizzeria together and I felt joy.
As we were walking towards the car, Scott's hands grazed mine again, but instead of pulling away, he grabbed my hand and held it. I made eye contact with him for a second and then smiled. We walked with our hands together to his car. His grasp was firm, but gentle.
