The air was a suitable temperature, but the wind bit at your nose violently. You were sniffling, but you couldn't bring yourself to move. Soobin and Yeonjun and fallen asleep while leaning on different wooden posts that supported the playground. HueningKai had fallen asleep on the platform, snuggling up in the blanket that previously rested on your lap, and Beomgyu and Taehyun had fallen asleep in the grass infested gravel.

You sat awake and watched the sun rise. It was starting to get warmer as the black faded to a deep blue and then a lighter blue just below that. Your eyes were stinging with the dryness of exhaustion, yet your mind was flustered and messy.

The police had spoken about bringing you to meet your new parents which were really your birth parents. It felt complicated. Even if they kidnapped you, you still somehow preferred the parents that had abandoned you. They were familiar. They were your parents. The ones that raised you and provided for you. Nothing could change that. At the same time, you'd thought about how your supposed birth parents never gave up on finding you. Years and years had passed and they never gave up. Despite not meeting you, they seemed to have an unimaginable love for you. You were conflicted.

There was one thing you were sure of. You wished to remain anonymous. You wanted no one to know. Everything around you was changing, but you could at least have school. Nothing could change school.

Your head began to clear as the bright blue hue returned to the sky, blended beautifully with a delicate and deep orange that shifted to pink as it caressed the clouds. It was calming.

"How long was I asleep for?" Soobin asked, startled awake.

"A couple hours? I'm not sure," you shrugged.

"What day is it?" He whispered, noticing the others sleeping soundly beside him.

"Friday," you responded after checking your phone, which was almost dead at this point.

"Thank goodness," he groaned rubbing his eyes and his face to bring some life back into them. "We should get going. We have school," he hummed, bitting his lip the inside of his lip in conflict. The slept so soundly. But they had school and Yeonjun was sick. He needed to go home. They all needed to go home. He gently shook Yeonjun's shoulder and he was startled awake, his instinct being to hit Soobin. Their little quarrel woke up the three younger ones.

"Are you alright (Y/N)?" HueningKai asked, his voice low and crackly with the remnants of sleep. "Your eyes are almost bloodshot."

"I couldn't sleep," you shrugged, giving him a half smile.

"I've gotta get you all back," Yeonjun sniffled, coughing afterwards.

As he drove every individual home, he continued to cough into his elbow and wipe at his forehead, his frame shivering.

"Take me to the convenience store please," you told him when you were the last one in the car.

"Alright," he hummed, wiping the sweat from his temple.

When he parked, you told him you would only be a minute, but one minute turned into about five minutes. When you came back, you were carrying a small bag with you. You hopped into the car and opened the bag for him to reveal two bottles of water, a bottle of orange juice, and some fever medication.

You spouted off about how he needed to keep hydrated and take the medicine and sleep lots to overcome his fever and take his temperature and go to a doctor if he needed it.

He gently grabbed your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours before bringing your hand up to his lips for a split second.

"Thank you," he murmured, beginning to drive you to the police station.
