6 I'll Be Taking This Pretty Woman

My heart skipped a beat.

Pinaguusapan pa lang namin na wala siyang inaapproach and here she is saying she found me.

No I think I just got really embarrassed, siguro kasi muntik na akong mahuli.  I was about to spill everything and on timing, she's there to stop it.

T-That's probably it.

Umupo siya sa tabi ko and Marki's eyebrows twitched. She's doing that if annoyed siya. Why? Di niya gusto si June?

Maybe because she can feel I'm hiding something from her. She's my closest friend afterall and ofcourse if may problem si Marki and tinatago niya sa ken, syempre maiinis din ako.

"Ah.. J-June, kanina ka pa ba dyan?" tanong ni Sam.

"Oh no, ngayon ngayon lang."

"Kase tinatanong namin si Lynn pano kayo nagkakilala. So you said, she's helping you?"

She nod. "Actually I had an accident yesterday at buti na lang andun si Lynn. Tinulungan niya ako and offered to help me hanggang matanggal yung cast."

"So, totoo ba yun Lynn?" tanong ni Marki. "You're helping her?"

Technically totoo so I nod.

"She's just not telling everyone because it will be embarassing for me." dagdag ni June with an awkward laugh.

Di ko na need malaman ano nasa isip nila on the way these two look at me.

Kahit sila di makapaniwala. Pano ba naman eh nalaman ko yung existence ni June Jimenez last week lang and now may pag offer ako. Alam din nila na busy ako para mag extend ng help.

Di kaya isipin nila na hinanap ko si June?? Inistalk after nila imention sa ken last week?Kelangan ko i clear na coincidence lang lahat ng to.

"P-Pero nung nangyare yun, di ko alam that it's her. Nalaman ko na lang nung nasa hospital na kami." which is also true.

"Ehh? But nakita natin siya sa library diba? Tinuro ko si June?"

Oh fudge. Baka isipin ni June nakita ko na siya before and tinarget ko siya. Lesheng Samuel to, nanlalaglag.

Pero di ko naman talaga siya nakita eh! I clear ko na lang baka isipin niya stalker ako o ano..

"Nagkacopy ako lecture notes diba? A-And I didn't even bother to look."

This time, June's eyebrows ticked. She turned her head so fast and looked at me. Nakangiti siya but she's giving me the "snake to frog" look nung nasa hospital kami.

W-Why is she angry????

"Oh yup, totoo yun, we met yesterday. Nakita ko yung gulat sa mukha niya nung inabot ko yung ID ko sa hospital."

"Sinamahan ka niya sa hospital?" tanong ni Marki then throws me a suspicious look.

"Yup and she's too kind and helpful to offer as if kasalanan niya yung nangyare sa ken." she let out an awkward laugh.

Now my eyebrows twitched. "J-Just doing what I can.." I awkwardly laughed as well.

"Ok so to sum up, naaksidente ka and Lynn was there. Sinamahan ka sa hospital and now she's helping you when nahihirapan ka because of your arm?"

Tumingin siya sa ken with an amused look. "Yes pretty much it."

Tumayo si Samuel. "Narinig niyo yun people??! My friend here.." sabay turo sa ken. WHAT THE HELL. "..is a goddamnhero. June is not being blackmailed!! They are good friends!" he ranted on and on, basta buong cafeteria nakatingin sa men!!
