"Mummy!" Lola called out happily as she went into her mother's arms.

"Long time no see, CEO." Her mother said with a teasing smirk directed at her.

She chuckled. Truly she had missed her mother a lot and ever since she moved out of their family mansion, they hardly got to see each other owing to their busy schedules and the distance as well. Funny how, they were meeting at the baby's naming ceremony after over a month without seeing each other.

"Long time indeed mummy, how are you?" Lola asked.

"I'm alright, how are you?" Felicia asked lovingly.

"I'm fine."

"Hello..." Someone joined in their conversation with a singsong tone.

"Dad!" She exclaimed in pleasant surprise as she went over to hug him.
They had formed a really strong bond over the last few months and it was waxing stronger by the day with the wonderful conversations they kept up with on a daily basis.

"I hear you talk to him everyday but you not me." Felicia said with hands akimbo feigning an angry face.

"Ah mummy it's not like that, you're just not the social media type." Lola said amid a chuckle failing at her attempt to placate her mother.

Indeed Felicia had no time to start chatting with her kids unless it was a matter of urgency, - and there was other way to reach them- which was rare.

"Oh wow, that's what you're saying now huh?" Felicia scoffed and Gerald came to Lola's rescue at that point.

"Come on Felicia, let the girl breathe." He said trying in vain to reel in his laughter and soon all three of them were bubbling with laughter cause Gerald's was infectious.

"Lola?" Another voice interrupted their catch up session. Reflexively, Lola turned and so did her parents. An involuntary smile made its way to her face as she spotted the one who had called out to her.

She gestured for him to come over and he walked up to them, prostrating to acknowledge the two elders in front of him as the Yorubas usually do. They both acknowledged his greetings warmly with knowing smiles on their faces as they stared between at a blushing Lola.

"How are you my dear?" Her mother had asked first.

"I'm fine ma'am. You look stunning as always ." David complimented with a wide smile.

"Don't flatter me jó"  She said with an equally wide grin. (please)

"How can I? I speak nothing but the truth mummy." He said back and Lola could swear she saw a blush creep up her mother's cheeks and she chortled.

They continued with their banters until they finally decided to excuse themselves from the two elderly ones.

David reached out and held her hand lovingly.

"So, how are you?" He asked pushing a strand of hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ears.

"I'm-"

"Lola!" Laila's voice came through and Lola bit a little hard on her lower lip to contain a scream.

Could these people not give her a break? She had been out here working her behind off since the previous day and now that her man was here they still wouldn't let her be with him.

"Oops. Hi David." Laila said fully aware of what the sulking expression on her sister's face meant.

"Hey Laila." He bade back.

"I'm so sorry for interrupting you guys but Lola is needed right now for some urgent work." She said.

Lola groaned so hard because this was not how she wanted to spend her evening.
