He didn't even know where he was headed and drove until he found himself in front of TL Couture.
Not minding how casually dressed he looked to be there, he briskly walked into the establishment.
"Good afternoon sir." He heard the receptionist bade from her desk in the lobby as soon as he got in.
"Good afternoon. Is she in?" He asked quickly.
"Yes sir, she's in her office."
He nodded and made his way further into the building. He walked into the large hall where all the work was done. It was a noisy place. From the pedaling sounds of sewing machines to the loud chatters with clients by the various apprentices - most of which were female.
A few recognised him and saluted as he walked by, towards their boss's office. He mounted the stairs one at a time until he made it to the top and found himself in front of her office.
He knocked on the finely crafted door with her name and title embellished on it.
"Come in!" He heard her holler from inside. Her sweet voice had his had heart racing. He twisted the knob and went in.
"Alright, I think that's settled, Liz." He heard her say to her assistant who was right in front of her, blocking his view.
Shutting the door behind him, he gained their attention and had them turning in his direction.

Lola was utterly surprised that David was right in front of her. She did not expect him until the weekend when he was usually free."Liz, you can go now." She ordered her PA, with her eyes still trained on her unexpected guest who stood across the room.
"Yes ma'am." Liz said before quickly exiting the room after exchanging pleasantries with him.
They both stayed silent for a few seconds before he took a step closer to her desk. Then another, and another and before she knew it, he was right in front of her.
"Can I sit?" He inquired and she looked up at him as he leaned over her desk, his face nearing hers. She blushed and eventually laughed. He joined in and they were both stuck in an endless train of laughter for a few minutes.
She was up and locked in his embrace by the time their laughs had died down.
"So after all your shakara, this is how it ends?" He teased and she laughed into his chest even more. (Shakara means, posing or showing off.)
"I guess so." She said as she pulled back and held his face in her hands. She bit on her lower lip seductively as she stared at his handsome face. As always, she had missed him.
"I missed you." She confessed, nuzzling him.
"I missed you more." He said back, capturing her lips in his. Their lip lock lasted a while but they soon had to breathe so they let each other go for a second.
They were seated next to each other on the sofa placed at a side of the large office enjoying comfortable silence with her snuggling him and his arms wrapped around her.
"So, you wanna talk about it?" He broke the silence.
"The fight?" She asked.
"Hmm." He hummed, running his thumb over her lower back.
"Yeah, I think we should." She nodded as she sat up and was staring up at him. Even in his sitting position, the height difference was still troubling to what she thought about her height. She wasn't short, she would never admit to it. Her 5'6 to to his 6'2 did make her feel short though.
