"Kongpob!!"
I was immediately engulfed in a bear hug. Oh! How can I forget once I enter the cafeteria, I would have to deal with an overly persistent and curious Rome tagged with Khoafang.

"Rome! Khoafang!" , I smile at them when he holds me at arm's length and examines me.

"Well...how was it?", he grins mischievously.

"How was what?", I frown at him.

"I mean....did you guys do it?", I suddenly feel shy and blush.

"No!!", I snap at them. But I can't help but smile at his concern laced with curiosity. "Is this the first thing you got to ask when you meet me after all these days?", I fake glare at Rome and Khoafang, who smiles wryly.

"What's wrong with that? I just wanted to know?", he grabs me by my shoulders and leads us to the nearby table. I nod at Tew and Aim who takes the seat close by.

"How are you?", Khoafang's voice is anxious.

"Very good", I smile at her.

"I can see that. So...you didn't do it?", she smirks.

"Not you too, Khoafang.", I audibly groan leaning my head on the table. "You obviously did though.", I look at a blushing Rome.

"Oh...Kongpob, it was good...very good actually.", he says dreamily. He can't contain his excitement and can be blunt like this sometimes.I can't help but feel happy for him. All of sudden, thoughts about my mate clouds my brain. I think of how he kisses me every chance he got, and I blush scarlet.

"Oh lord! Too much information. Could you guys please stop rubbing your mated life on my single life ?", Khoafang rolls her eyes. " You look different.", she states pointing at me.

" Do I? I don't feel anything different.", I examine myself.

" Yes, you do. How do I put it? Hmmm...you are glowing?", Rome tilts his head.

I chuckle at his antics. " Maybe it's the toiletries.". I shake my head. " But you definitely look different.", I grin at Rome as he nods.

" Unquestionably I feel different. Sore.", he says happily.

"You are sore?", I exchange glances with Khoafang who crinkles her nose in disgust.

" From overuse.", he stares blankly. There was a moment of silence before we all start to giggle. Eventually we calm down and silence falls on us.

"So you are mated.", I look at Rome.

"Yes, after you fainted. A lot of things happened."

"Like what?", I turn to Khoafang who sighed.

It was Rome who answered, " P'Bright informed our parents he will be taking me with him, mean while your highness took you to the pack healer. He made quite a ruckus witnessing your condition.", he purses his lips. " Our pack is lucky that he didn't decide to decimate them given you are not well. He just carried you away to the capital. Sam was kneeling all the time. His highness didn't let him even lift his head."

" How's the pack then?", I ask evasively.

"It's under utter chaos.", Khoafang is silent for a moment. " The council wasn't happy at the fact that he chose another mate and he rejected his fated one. It also irked those pack members who had omegas as their children or mates. Many left the pack. They didn't want to put trust in an alpha who doesn't protect the pack members but abuse and discriminate them. Even the representatives from the neighboring packs got the picture and is threatening to break the treaties and contracts. Sam is denied of the alpha position until he proves he is worthy enough to hold the title. The effects on the pack due to this drop outs is monumental. We are almost at the verge of bankruptcy."
