Kongpob adjusted his golden sash looking at his reflection in the floor length mirror before him. He was wearing the royal uniform which included white coat with a golden sash across his torso. There was a golden sun medal pinned on his left chest announcing his royal degree. Apart from the golden buttons adorning the coat and his sleeves, he also wore a second golden sash to which the golden sword sling was attached. His look was completed with the white pants and shoes.

He chewed his lips studying his specially styled hair with a tinge of pink over his cheeks. He can't help but think, he's definitely feeling different, maybe glowing a bit in his ceremonial clothes, his and his mate's wedding and coronation attire.

He ran his fingers over the precious stones of the bracelet his mother-in-law gave him. It was their ancestral heirloom handed over to the next Regent Luna when he or she ascends the throne. The extravagant stones and the intricate design made it so beautiful that he was afraid even to touch it, let alone wear it.

Kongpob was ecstatic that finally he is officially being announced as his P'Arthit's mate to the entire realm. He felt giddy and nervous at the same time. Being the high- alpha's mate comes with a lot of responsibilities and expectations. Some might think that being a royalty means living a life of a celebrity, a life full of luxury but that is utterly wrong. You have to sacrifice a lot, putting your subjects and their interests before you. In short your life won't be normal, it's not just yours anymore.

He clutched over the sword sling, sighing. How he wishes, he had his parents beside him. His eyes glimmered with unshed tears when a voice startled him.

"Are you ready, sweetheart?", Kongpob turned towards his mother-in-law who smiled at him.

"Already?", he whispered anxiously.

With a few quick steps she is already beside the omega, looking beautiful as ever in her long golden silk gown.

"Kongpob, what's wrong?", she looks at him frowning.

"I....."

She smiles at him as if understanding what he is going through. "It's the wedding jitters, love. Mine was worst but still I got through it. You'll be fine. Trust me?"

He nods at her timidly as she continues. "We all adore you, love, not to mention my son.", she adjusts his sash. "I can see how happy you both together are."

"And wherever your parents are right now, they would be really proud of you.", she gently squeezed his hands. "Although we could never replace your parents, we are here too. We would never disappoint them."

"Don't think about anything else, Kong. Let's go, everyone is waiting for you.", she adds grinning at the him.

"Or....are you having any second thoughts?", she asks with fake alarm.

Kongpob shakes his head giggling, "No, mom. Besides, it's too late now."

She chuckles pulling him in to her warm embrace. "You'll be fine, dear. Just one tear from your eyes, he'll have to answer me.", she says releasing him from her embrace.

One week ago, the day we both returned to the palace, we were greeted by overly enthusiastic royal family and caretakers. Turns out they all knew our purpose of disappearance, and knowing that our coupling was felt all across the realm embarrassed me to no coming back. Later mom helped me calm down stating that all they could feel was we are happy and a surge of energy across the realm, just like how an alpha's emotions affects the whole pack.

The remaining days were so busy that I rarely got time to be with my P'Arthit. He was busy at the headquarters along with dad, P'Knot, and P'Bright with the power transfer while I was busy being trained under mom. It was like I was having a five-days crash course for which P'Arthit was prepared for all his life.
