Kongpob hastened his steps through the central prison gate which stood approximately twenty feet high adorned with the Rojanapat Royal sigil. Escorted by his alpha guards Phana and Phayu, Phana' s twin brother, their footsteps echoed against the wet stonewalls.

Under high security, Central prison housed offenders who have committed grave crimes, and the underground dungeons below the prison held the most vicious criminals.

Kongpob felt the whole setting bleak and hopeless. He could see dark cells with doors made of razor sharp barbed wire twisting around thick metal bars probably made of wolfsbane. The further he went down, the stone walls closed in, denying any form of expectations how to treat other life.

The air was stagnant with endless hope, yearning, and diabolical frustrations for freedom. The stench of blood, excrements, and dirt burned his lungs making it hard to breathe. But he was a man on mission, he shouldn't be distracted from his goal. He also wondered how Phana and Phayu made it through, not even a flinch evident on their faces.

The trio made their way down the shadowy hallway which was intermittently illuminated by the depressing yellow bulbs while the royal guards kneeled to their Luna, as he passed by.

Kongpob made his way into one particular cell, flanked by his guards. His eyes fell on the dark figure lying on the cold stone floor in a dark gluey puddle. As if sensing their presence, it slowly scrambled to its feet, chains rattling against the floor.

The moment of silence was broken when the creature charged forward with fury. Phayu was quick enough to cover their Luna. Luckily the shackles held the animal down with a little to no movement.

Kongpob covered his nose as the thick putrid scent swirled heavily around them. The creature or should he call it a werewolf appeared in a weird form, standing on its hind legs. Slime and blood oozed out of its mouth coating its yellow canines. He could see its muscles and pitch black eyes twitch occasionally as it ferociously made futile attempts to reach the omega.

"It behaves as if following some sort of command. Target set...once triggered, then attack.", Phana took a step forward, handing the tablet containing the details about the prisoner.

"But..", Phayu shook his head, still shielding their Luna. "It just went feral seeing your highness."

Kongpob hummed as he went through the details. Jiang Punnapob , 20 years old beta from Silver Lane pack, both parents are primary school teachers. One sibling , a twin brother.

Jiang has been in love with his classmate plus neighbor, a beta girl named Mia. Both families believed that they would turn out to be fated mates. But fate played its trick once they reached eighteen. Turns out Mia is the fated mate to his twin brother.

Jiang still in shock watched them, getting mated and married. Everyone, including Mia left him behind forcing his heart to be hard and frozen. The disappointment and hatred plagued his mind, morphing it to a strong resentment towards the whole fated mate scenario. Mia was his, but all he could do was stand by the corner, tightening his fists, watching them playing house as if it's a normal thing to do. Then one summer evening, he disappeared, never seen again until he was captured by the royal guards.

"He won't talk. We are administering muscle and neural relaxants.", Phana turned to the omega. Kongpob nodded in response gently gesturing Phayu who stepped aside wondering where Kongpob's strange calm was coming from.

"Jiang..", Kongpob called out to the struggling wolf. "Your king summons you.". The firm command brought an instant silence in the cell. Jiang tilted his head as if listening.

Kongpob continued once he caught his attention, "What happened?". Kong's voice was gentle.

There was no answer but an eerie silence. In a split second a startled gasp erupted from Kongpob's throat when the wolf lunged for him as he stepped backwards. The guards immediately covered their Luna drawing their swords.
