Chapter 6: "Is that you, God...?"

After the school day was over, I walked home with the demon brothers, and let's just say...

It was very awkward.

Well at least for me.

Everyone was so silent, except for Asmodeus and Satan, who seemed to be whispering about something.

Like gossip girls.

That was, until Satan called my name.

-"Hey (Y/N), I just remembered that I heard from a friend of mine that you had a fight today, is that true?"

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, was when all the brothers' attentions were on me.

-"A fight?" I said, playing dumb.

-"Yes, a fight." Satan nodded, "With a succubus." He added.

-"Oh, does that happen to be Andariel? I heard she was talking shit about (Y/N), is that why?" Asmodeus inquired.

Lucifer looked at me, a disapproving look on his face.

-"Is that true, (Y/N)?" He raised an eyebrow.

-"I didn't get into a fight." I said, "I don't know why that Andariel is talking behind my back, maybe she just doesn't like me. I mean, I found out today that a lot of demons aren't exactly very fond of humans." I half lied.

-"Well it's only fair since humans don't like demons, either." Said Asmodeus, "Except me of course, everyone from the three worlds love me, hehe." He added, totally obsessed with himself.

All of his brothers just gave him a disgusted look, then they totally ignored what he said.

-"Lucifer, I'm hungry." Beelzebub said.

-"That's too bad. Now, behave yourself." Lucifer said, not bothering to spare Beelzebub a glance.

I felt bad.

It's true that Beelzebub is the demon most likely to eat me, but honestly after the way he happily munched on the chips while thanking me this morning, I can tell that out of all his brothers, he is definitely the sweetest one.

He is just hungry, that's all.

And you are not you when you are hungry.

I mean if I were hungry all the time, I would definitely be grumpy, probably worse than him.

I patted Beelzebub's shoulder and smiled comfortingly.

-"Just hang on a little longer, Beelzebub. We are almost there."

He just looked at me for a little while, making me nervous.

Then he nodded his head.

-"I'll try my best." He said.

-"Oh, look at that!" Asmodeus squealed, "The human just comforted Beelzebub! And he didn't eat her! How adorable!" He put his hand over his heart.

I can't tell if he is being sarcastic or not.

Lucifer looks at me from the corner of his eye, but doesn't say anything.

-"Meh, who cares." Mammon shrugged, "Let's just be thankful he finally shut up."

I roll my eyes. Someone tell him to shut up

-"You shut up, Mammon!" Leviathan shouted.

Thank you, Leviathan. Together we shall put Mammon in his place.

Mammon and Leviathan just keep fighting for the rest of the walk.

And from the look on the brothers' faces I can tell that this happens way too often.
