Will held Caesar's hand as the doctor fixes his wound whilst trying to keep an eye on the curious little girl that wondered around the vet's office. And Calliope was a very curious little creature. Having to not know of the outside world beside school and the malls and this was her first time seeing a fish tank, she stuck around a lot beside it, giggling about as she observed the swimming sea horse.
"Cal, stop wondering around. Stay still." suggested Will to his adoptive daughter.
Dr Aranha looked up from her work briefly, smiling softly. "Oh, it's alright," she reassures, "She's a very curious little girl." giggled the doctor as she watched the blonde child talk with the golden seahorse that inhabits the fish tank, "Hello, Mr Seahorse, how do you do?"
"Oh you have no idea." Agrees Will. Caesar hooted watching the doctor as she worked, tapping her on the shoulder catching her attention as she turns to the little ape. "He likes you." smiled Will.
"Mhmm?" the doctor hummed. "Don't worry," Will started, "It'll be over soon and we can go get a treat." he assures and the chimp hooted in joy of the idea. "At the beach!?" finished Calliope, whipping her head towards her father's direction and blinking her grey eyes at him. He chuckles, "Yeah, at the beach. I'm thinking ice cream."
"Chocolate flavor this time!" Caesar signs suggesting and Will nodded remembering how they chose his favourite blueberry flavor and let's just say, it didn't end well for the little mermaid. Since she was of that species, that's what Caesar nicknamed her. Given the fact that she also loves the movie yet she can't choose between Cinderella and Ariel. "Good idea."
"You taught him to sign?" asked the doctor, astonished looking between them and their interactions. Will shrugged lightly, "Just handful of things, basic stuff."
She nods watching Caesar sign while cheekily looking up at him. "You like her."
"What's he saying?" the raven-haired woman asks, curious to know what the ape just signed. Will swats his hand away, shrugging off, "Nothing."
But Calliope had already seen the interaction and giggled, standing beside her father. "Uh, so, so when do you think we'll come back?"
"Well, you won't need to come back because the stitches are dissolvable," said the doctor as Will tries to keep a straight face and not delve deeper into his goofing kids, "I would just say, watch out for signs of infection. Fever, redness."
Caesar pant-hooted and signed, "You should take her to dinner!" Calliope bursted into a fit of laughs at his brother. "Caesar is trying to get you a girlfriend, dad!" Her brother gave an apish laugh as Will was caught in a blushing mess.
"Okay. What are they saying now?" asked doctor Aranha.
Will not being able to hide his blushing state started, rather awkwardly might I add, "Well," there was a brief pause before he continued, "he thinks you and I should have dinner together." Calliope sniggered at his bluntness.
Caesar tapped his little sister's shoulder signing quickly, "Ask her! Ask her!" he hooted and Cal with no second thoughts asks the lovely woman before her, "Are you single?"
She was taken aback by this as her eyes widened, her own cheeks covered in a pink hue. Will only shrugged his shoulders as Caesar playfully pushed him on his shoulder. "This, this is what I deal with everyday."
