Self hate

I never intend to perpetuate the illness that is self hate, but thus has been my reality many times, and I'm sure there are others who can relate.

Its a heavy feeling that's lived atop of me for years.

Ive struggled at times to hide it from my peers.

Talking down on myself instead of kindly - like a friend.

Self criticism.

On constant repetition.

I had to learn how to change my train of thought.

You wouldn't imagine the relief that it brought.

Stopping at the thought that leads down into the spiral of self deprecation.

Instead changing the narrative with more positive conversation.

Such a simple idea - but truly a revelation.

It takes a lot of time to tear down these negative self images and foundations.

But over time - as you deconstruct - its makes room for self loves formation.

Id be lying if I said I was cured, I still struggle to practice it everyday.

Yet if it can help me, it could help you - and that's the message I'm trying to convey.
